“It used to be so convenient when you could walk across the street. Now it’s about a 1/2 mile walk UPHILL and completely around the property. Now you really need a taxi unless you don’t have luggage. Staff was friendly as always and room was basic as expected but definitely not cheap anymore. Breakfast was $12 for bread and cereal so we opted for a sandwich at a market down the road. Since you need a taxi now I will find a nicer place to stay. Too bad because I used to love this place.”

“I booked a ground floor room, with kitchen. Such a good choice, we bought food from Carrefour and eat it during our week long stay. The huge window view from the garden was to die for. Clean big room, with AC, free parking, good pool. I will come back to this hotel!”

“Reva, The Host was very helpful and friendly, the room was super large and had a great balcony overlooking the ocean and Airport. Best of all was they shuttle to and from the airport which was included. A great stay for one night or for many nights”

“All staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!! The room was very clean and very nice and comfortable as were the grounds!!! We would like to suggest that the quiet hours be enforced in reverse. Meaning we were informed of a noise complaint at 6:30 PM that was reported by a occupant next to us and quiet hours didn’t start till 9:00 PM. Keep in mind there was only 4 of us playing cards/talking/laughing inside with no music when the complaint was reported. In our opinion, the complainers……

“Neat and clean property with STUNNING views! We were there immediately after torrential rains had caused a minor landslide, so the pool and hot tub were both closed until repairs could be made. Other than that, it was a perfect 10!”

“Lovely, helpful staff see you to this ocean side bungalow with kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and great deck where you can sit and enjoy the sight of the reef. Snorkelling right from your private beach yields coral and tropical fish from the shore. A couple of downsides: there are no staples like sugar, coffee, salt, etc in the kitchen; there is no comfortable chair so you either sit on the bed or you are upright at the table; the reception is only there for assistance for an hour or so……

“Pros: good location, clean, new. Cons: This is a very, very basic room. There was a desk, but no outlets to plug in a laptop, and no lights on or above the desk. No amenities like a coffee maker, toiletries (a bar of soap or tissues would be nice), microwave or refrigerator. Yet there was an ironing board in the closet, but no iron, and there was an ice maker in the hallway, but no ice bucket. No restaurant on site. When we asked the front desk for dining suggestions they said to use Google……

“Our stay at Hotel Kaveka was absolutely amazing. The beachfront bungalow-style villa was just steps from the water and only a short walk to the hotel restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home throughout our stay. The hotel was worth every dollar spent, and my wife and I enjoyed some of the most beautiful sunsets we’ve seen in a long time right from the beach. If you’re looking for a relaxing, authentic Polynesian experience, this is the place to stay.……
