"I booked a single room at the Knaresborough Inn for a very reasonable price and so wasn't expecting much from the stay. The car parking was good, there was even someone blowing the leaves and stones from the drive in the morning. Staff were very friendly and the room was well presented and very clean. I ate in the bar where there were a good selection of beers and ciders and the food was ok too. I wasn't sure what to expect from breakfast because trip advisor was brutal on this aspect but I was pleasantly surprised. It is served buffet style much the same as a premier Inn breakfast. Everything was very nice with the exception of the fried eggs which looked fine but were solid. Checkout was easy. Be aware that reception closes at 11pm so if you haven't checked in by then, you're not getting you're room key. This was an issue for my friends who were also staying here. They tried calling Knaresborough for two days running, no one answered the phone ever. Just worth noting if you every need to contact the hotel. Overall I would definitely stay here again though."

"At check in last Friday I explained that I had managed to park in the last disabled bay as 2 other vehicles parked there without blue badges. The receptionist just smiled and directed me to the machine to pay for parking. I was surprised at this but paid £54 on my credit card. A little while later I returned to reception to ask for a map of Harrogate and mentioned to the receptionist ( a different girl) that I had to pay to park despite having a blue badge whereupon she told me that I didn’t have to pay ! Furthermore she couldn’t do anything about it as it’s a private company and suggested that I send them an email. I immediately did this but have heard nothing since . Completely unsatisfactory. Incidentally if you’re paying to stay at the hotel I really don’t think that you should be paying at all. "

"Chevin House is very handy for Leeds Bradford Airport and is set in lovely woods. It is generally quiet, particularly in the woodland lodges. The rooms are comfortable and have all the necessary amenities. My only criticism is that the food has generally become worse since they were taken over. Everything was a bit salty and the choices of food and wine are limited. It was nicer when there was a big bar to sit in rather than just the restaurant which looks over the lovely pond, but isn't a place to just hang out and have a pint. They have clearly optimised the site for events like weddings. But overall, a nice place to stay and certainly my choice of the ones near the airport."

"A good hotel, better organisation around check in time would improve ratings, the bed was reasonably comfortable, however the pillows are as comfortable as a park bench , i didnt sleep very well at all, there were two pilliws each, but they were all rather firm. Breakfast was good, plenty choice from cereal , toast, fruit , full english cooked breakfast as well as pancakes etc from the table menu, but there was a 25min wait for those at our time of eating which was @ 9am. Fresh coffee was very nice. "

"Very welcoming reception, lovely staff. Room very clean and all essentials there. Hotel itself clean, spaces, lovely surroundings. Breakfast was good, buffet with typical English breakfast, also healthy breakfast available, toaster and white/brown bread, no rolls. Maybe not for some, but Important for me, not variety of morning coffee (disappointing) just instant coffee + milk. In the evening restaurant serves a great meals, drinks and variety of coffee! That means the proper coffee machine is in the kitchen but not using for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall highly recommended I would stay there again."
