“After reading review I was dubious about our stay, we booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 teens, we paid a bargain price of £69 for the night i assumed cheap would mean the worst room but I was so wrong we had a spacious beautiful room with the best view of the sea and coast line the hotel its self is historical and beautiful, absolutely loved our stay my only slight complain would be the mattress it wasn't comfortable other than that I would recommend this hotel and will use again.”

“Excellent hotel”

“The Royal is very old I know, but it seems nothing has been done to maintain it and so is very outdated. It appears very poorly maintained and there was dust in all corners of the room, water stain marks on thr wallpaper, broken windows with defective safety latches. The staff were fine to talk too however there etiquette was poor, dress standards let them down even further. This place needs a whole lot of investment to bring it to today's standards.”

“Harrogate is a nice place to visit. And Yorkshire is well located in front of nice greening and very handy to a lot of shops and restaurants. The breakfast is very nice with nice view. I would definitely want to come visit again ”

“How old and grand the hotel was but the cleanliness wasn't great especially when our room was serviced they would make the bed but didn't clean all the furniture and window seals still quite dusty”

“Our 5th floor executive room was comfortable and tastefully furnished. We had an incredible view. However, a previous guest must have been feeding the seagulls and we were targeted every morning. The fridge was a good asset as too were the table fans but a/c would have been preferred.”
