“The room and property were reasonably well maintained & clean. It’s a relatively minor nuisance, but several of the USB device charging sockets in the room were broken. For such a quaint New England town, the main street in front of the hotel was surprisingly noisy”

“Overall, the Lodge at West River is a decent, clean, secure, comfortable place to spend one night. The property-- which is actually a motel, not a lodge -- sits next to a surprisingly busy secondary road. For the price, I would have expected more ambience, softer sheets, and on-site dining. I will say the home-baked breakfast treats look amazing (alas, no carbs for me!) All that said, the staff and owners are welcoming, helpful and responsive. And that can be rare these days.”

The check-in process was a little hectic, check in time was 3pm, but our room wasn't ready. The caretaker was very friendly. We only had to wait about 20 minutes. We weren't aware this property was a VRBO, and not a regular Inn. ”
