Perfect stop

This was the perfect stop on our way to Colorado! We picked up dinner on our way to the property, but the unit had everything we would have needed if we chose to cook there. We loved sitting outside around the firepit while enjoying the sunset. We were traveling with gear for a bicycle race, and it was wonderful to not have to unload everything at a hotel. We felt very safe at this beautiful and peaceful location!

Amarillo Stay

On our way to Estes Park and needed a halfway place to stay. Perfect place for me and my husband. Very clean and cozy. Price was great and way better than any hotel. Highly recommend.

Peaceful Oasis

Off the beaten path, yet easy to get to this lovely barn apartment. The back deck is ideal for relaxing, watching the sunset, observing mule deer, road runners, etc. and listening to the birds sing. The hosts have paid close attention to detail while designing, constructing, and decorating this attractive and comfortable living space. It was the perfect place for us to recover from travel, to have easy access to explore Amarillo, and to regroup for the next leg of our cross-country journey.

Next time we’ll stay longer!

I can’t tell you how much we loved staying here! This is the perfect little slice of paradise in a spot so beautiful, it will take your breath away. We were greeted by a bunny rabbit when we arrived & a deer stopped for a photo shoot as we were watching the sun come up while sipping our morning coffee on the expansive back patio. We made sure to turn off all the outside lights before we went to bed at night & took some amazing shots of the gorgeous clear night sky backlit with constellations, Jupiter & the moon. It may seem a bit of a drive to get to, but there are plenty of local attractions & options for dinner & entertainment nearby. Highly recommend & hope to be back for a longer stay!

Not clean. Made the stay uncomfortable.

One of our stops during a 2000 mile trip from Michigan to Arizona. Owner sounded very particular as to guests who were allowed to stay and laid out rules etc for guests. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was a torn American flag flying in front of the house. House was for sale was unoccupied during our stay. Cleanliness is extremely important to me. The interior of the property fell short and I couldn’t wait to leave. Dirt accumulated on baseboards, large accumulation of dust on fan blades over bed, handle for washer and dryer were dirty, I kept stepping on something on the floors and found multiple pieces of rice, heater/ac units had drip stains on them. The place seemed gross after all of this was taken in to consideration. I took pictures of my issues. During our trip where we stayed at four places this was by far the worst. Won’t return.,

Best I have stayed at.

Great little place. Very clean. Thoughtfully arranged. Plenty of homey items (kitchenwares, toiletries, towels and blankets). Full kitchen appliances. Full-size washer/dryer. Charming and neat. Wish we could have stayed longer; plan on returning. Loved this place...#1 stay and we travel a lot. Highly recommend.

Thanksgiving with Daughter

Great Stay

We only had one night at this fantastic little getaway. The whole stay was super easy. From reservation ( with my many questions!) to checkout. We would love to stay again for longer next time.

High plains of Texas experience

Seeing the mule deer in the evening and at sunrise was a special treat. Accommodations were clean, complete and comfortable. Especially appreciated how easy and fast it was to communicate with Host on the VRBO website.

Clean, Quiet, off the beaten path

We enjoyed staying here. It was clean, quiet, off the beaten path. We were greeted with deer, quail, and a road runner. Sat on the back porch until it got too cool.

Restful Hideaway

We didn’t get to stay long as it was more a passing through stop for us but it is an unusual and lovely place. They have decorated and provided for an enjoyable stay for all their guests. I really enjoyed seeing and hearing the bird activity in the morning.

A little slice of heaven.

The apartment is so very charming, with all the amenities you could think of. Its very nicely designed, and very relaxing. Micheal and family were so very helpful and accomadating (even when accidently locking yourself out.). Be sure to have a camera ready for the wildlife that show up while youre out enjoying the evening by the firepit..I cant thank them enough for their kindness and a wonderful pkace to stay.
