"Nice, well maintained houseboat with everything in good condition. There are lots of windows and skylights so the boat is not dark. The boat has heating for the winter. The host is extremely nice and stored our luggage for us when we arrived at 11am from our flight. Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. "Cozy and comfy houseboat with everything you need. The owner was very accommodating and maintained communication to you ensure we enjoyed our stay. We arrived on a Thursday and our first night was relaxing. However, party goers from Friday night lead to a 2am awakening to yelling and screaming on Saturday morning. Although there is no running water the host was very friendly and accomodate for us and always made sure we had what we needed. Definitely recommend if you want to stay on an affordable boat in the canals of Amsterdam!!"

"It’s a sufficient place to stay, a good location, and the owner is lovely, but you have to climb up and down stairs that are almost like a ladder to get to your room and there is NO view whatsoever. It’s a barge, not really a houseboat. We are older, and wouldn’t have rented if we had known you couldn’t see out and ladder climbing was involved!"

The next floor down was a sitting area with a small refrigerator but no microwave; the same floor gave you access to the toilet and shower. Die Vermieterin (Anne) war für jede Frage offen und antwortete immer sehr schnell. Die Unterkunft war super, es war sauber und angenehm ruhig(obwohl der Flughafen sehr nah ist). The location is a much quieter area that is about a 15 minute tram ride into the center of Amsterdam so it was nice to escape the bustling city at night with the option of restaurants and shops still nearby.
