"We were very disappointed with the condition of our room and the upkeep of it . It was filled with cannabis smell that stayed with the room the entire time of our visit. The a/c was not on when we arrived and they don’t have duct systems like that so it wasn’t coming from the other rooms. It should have been aired out prior to our arrival. The fire alarm kept going off and unfortunately the only thing the maintenance man was able to do was remove it and never bring it back. The shelf that you hang your clothes on was coming out of the wall. I’m asthmatic and my friend suffers from migraines so this definitely wasn’t a great experience. The tv was stuck in a back end screen so we couldn’t get it to function and gave up The front desk ladies were sweet and kind but they were not able to do anything about switching us since it was full occupancy. I do think that best Western should have things in place so that if a room needs to be deodorized, they can have a crew come to do so in these situations"

"Clean room, excellent courteous staff. The gaming machines on another note is a complete joke. No wins at all and I’ve been going for years now. Play max, win little to nothing at all"

"Staff was helpful and nice. Room was clean. Enjoyed walking around the lake and how close the hotel was to multiple fast food restaurants and the casino. Breakfast was good, many items to choose from."

"The facility was a little bit dated. There was junk stacked on the west side of the property, dead roaches were on the floor of the bathroom, and I did kill two or three lives ones. I also could not figure out how to use the TV. Makes me miss cable. It did have a nice dog park. A lot of the rooms seemed to be rented out to extended stay guests."

"Room was clean and bed comfy. Wifi was good. Staff was superb. Basic hotel with no thrills but it was a good night stay and good value for the money. Would stay here is again."

"The room was nice, the breakfast was good for a hotel. They have a fresh ground coffee maker. So the coffee is the best I ever had at a hotel. I have stayed in every hotel Atmore that are by the casino and this is my favorite."

"The lobby reeked of marijuana when we entered. The staff were polite. The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke and the front desk clerk came up to spray the room. The shower drain was slow and had to stand in an inch of water…."
