Convenient

We booked to be close to a few soccer fields, but the tournament was canceled due to weather. We were unable to cancel, as we were within days of the stay and there is a 30 day cancel rule to get a refund. I think that's excessive. Nevertheless, we came and found a home in okay shape, but there lots of little things that could have been better. When we first arrived, the house was 58 degrees inside. The heater was turned on, and it was fine by the evening. In the rooms there is a fan with a remote. The remotes hardly worked, so lights and fan speed was hard to control. Lights have dimmers, and some wouldn't stay bright. The yard was mostly mud, so dragging mud inside was impossible not to do. Location was great for coffee, food, and entertainment. Not the worst at all, and I appreciate the property manager talking through the weather issue quickly, but I won't book here again.

Clean house in a quiet neighborhood

The house has a lovely open floor plan with loads of natural light. The master jacuzzi tub was wonderful. The whole place was really clean. The gas fireplace made it really cozy. The couple of times I contacted management they responded quickly. It was really nice to be able to park in the garage. The issue I had with the property was the bed. It was very firm and we were uncomfortable. I told management this when I left and they were grateful I did. They will be looking into this and hopefully upgrading the mattress. Great location to see the eclipse, check out Lake Travis, Lake Austin

Lots of bedroom space, kitchen, and living area. Quiet neighborhood too. The property management team was very responsive while planning the trip and while we were staying at the house. It worked out perfectly for our plans to travel around the area, see the eclipse and visit family. We found favorite places to visit and need to explore more on our next stay. We would stay again at this property.

Awesome home in Suburban Austin

If you were looking for a home away from home, this is the place. Kitchen is stocked with functional appliances and glassware for various occasions (i.e. shot glasses, wine glasses, pint glasses, unique rocks glasses. The beds were comfortable and appropriate amount of bedding to keep you warm. All of the bedrooms felt spacious. Garage door openers are provided in case you need needed to park your car inside. I had no problem fitting a Honda Accord in the garage. Laundry detergent pods and dishwasher tabs were provided during my stay and was definitely useful as our booking was 2wk long. The property management team communicated via text, responded in a reasonable amount of time, and were accommodating of my needs. The neighborhood is not too far from a main road and Highway 183, but it’s far enough that it’s VERY quiet. The neighborhood itself is quiet and the neighbors seem friendly. Overall, the home offered everything I needed to make it feel like a home would live in.

Clean & Spacious

Photos did the house justice, lots of space and very open. Did feel a little cold, lacks some homey touches, especially in the living room. It's such a large open area that it seems to lack extra seating. Communciation was great but due to a holiday some issues were not able to get fixed or looked at.

Beautiful home and great location

We really enjoyed our stay at machete place. This was our second time booking from a stay above the rest. They are very responsive and the booking process was very easy. Comfortable beds and nice bedding, beautiful backyard and all the appliances you need. They provide a good amount of laundry and dishwasher pods toilet paper etc. We loved this house so much.

Perfect house

We were in town for a funeral and staying at this house was perfect. The house was very clean. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking supplies. The neighborhood was safe and convenient.

Ok not great

The location is ok and the house is a good size but it was not cleaned well at all (hair/dust in the bathroom). Since the house was bought and run by a company exclusively as an VRBO it is pretty minimally outfitted. Only a couple of dishwasher pods, toilet paper rolls, one roll of paper towels, etc. No tissue boxes. No condiments or cooking oil and bare minimum of cooking pans/pots/utensils which made it tricky to cook for our family of four. They also keep track of the number of all plates, bowls, and cups (labeled on the shelf where they are stored) which makes it seem like they will charge you for a missing cup. Living room furniture is uncomfortable, most likely because it was bought for staging and not living. Overall disappointing and would not return.
