Extremely convenient, very clean, and well equipped with everything you need. A bit further out of Milton Keynes but I would rather stay here than at a Premier Inn. Quieter, cleaner and better value for money. Staff are also lovely.
Room nice and clean fridge in room and fan which was great as it was warm in room as window did not open also big free car park outside just outside the building
I really liked the place. would look to stay in the future. convient for seeing family whilst also being at the F1. missed the sign for the building and had to go round the back via the sat nav so maybe a slight reminder where the entrance is would help
clean, staff was nice and helpful
I enjoyed my stay at Stringfellow Hall. It was a basic single room with all amenities. Because there weren't any windows you could open, I was relying on the Fan to keep cool at high temperatures.
All the benefits of staying at Mitchell Hall or the MDC, just in a single room with a bit of a saving. Breakfast still taken in Mitchell Hall where there’s the other daytime/evening restaurant and bar.
Very good accommodation with good bathroom and shower.
Excellent overall and my go-to in the area.
Very high standard of cleanliness - better than some of the budget hotel accommodation out on the market.
The accommodation is on a quiet University campus located in a village located between Milton Keynes and Bedford, so it is a bit out of the way. There is an excellent public bus service, which runs until approximately midnight - but allow for about 45mins for the bus ride to Bedford.
There is a small Co-Op shop, on site, as well as a small bar, which also does food.
If you want somewhere quiet to stay, this is the place. The rooms are in student Halls of Residence, so only single beds are offered!
A good value room which was clean, in good decorative order and well maintained. it was situated in a block of student rooms but despite this there was no noise from other residents; perhaps there were none.
Unfortunately the room was a heat trap and so was very hot even when it was much cooler outside. It was not possible to open a window (although there was a "grid" that could be opened.
Breakfast at Reggie's restaurant was very nice. I bought an evening meal there as well. The evening meal was fine but pricey because they charge non-students more than students.
I would stay here again in the winter or spring but might avoid another stay in the middle of summer.

All facilities at the location were acceptable and there was a nice bar near reception for an evening drink in the sunshine.
I stayed at this location on a very warm evening.
Upon arrival in the room, it was extremely hot and almost unbearable. There was a large window facing the sun, which did not open. As no air-con in the building, the small fan did little to reduce the temperature.
I would return but only on cooler days!
Arrived at reception to find they had no booking for me. I showed the receptionist my booking email and that I had booked a double room for 3 nights and an extra night in single on the Thursday. I was only offered a single room for the entire stay which I went to see but the bed was attached to the wall and I couldn’t spend 4 nights there with my muscle cramps that’s why I had booked a double.
They managed to sort it out for me to have a double for 2 nights and single for 2 nights as they were fully booked and if a cancellation came up then I may be able to have a double room and I changed rooms on Saturday
The staff have been wonderful and I cannot thank them enough for making my stay so comfortable.
The receptionist was most professional and resolved a difficult start.
All staff I encountered have been very helpful and pleasant and will happily return if they will have me.
Stringfellow Hall is a really good option for those staying at Cranfield University.
There was one small thing on this hot day in early July - I had to keep the fan running overnight to keep the room cool enough..
Basic room, very clean and does what it says on the tin.
Biggest gripe is simply how hot the rooms are. A fan is provided, but the rooms have no opening windows.
I was disappointed that despite the booking containing two rooms and being booked months in advance, the rooms allocated were on two different floors.
Overall, it’s a good stay and I would stay again, but I’d ensure I’d email ahead to ensure room allocation was as expected.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The good - Clean and well presented.
The bad - Room was like an oven - with next to nothing in the way of natural ventilation, a fan was provided but just moved the hot air around. There was also little in the way of privacy - no net curtains or blinds. The internet was off for a solid period on the Sunday morning - Would have been OK but mobile reception was somewhat limited.

Room was too hot and no window to open. Also there was a terrible noise like a generator on all the time
Basic, Smelly and Uncomfortable Halls of Residence
I stayed in room 317 and can only describe the smell as a public toilet. It was horrendous!! Thankfully the manager moved me to another room, however this wasn’t that fluid. I called reception to log my complaint and they couldn’t make any decision, they had to call the duty manager and call me back, which took some time. It is a shame the reception staff don’t have the autonomy to make guests stay better and more comfortable.
I was then moved to room 307 and the smell wasn’t much better, I now had a cheesy feet smell in the room. But by this point I was exhausted and went to bed.
Both rooms were akin to a basic halls of residence and not the kind of place a mature professional student would want to stay. Beds are very small and springy. The only good thing about the room was the shower, which was spacious and powerful.
It’s also a shame that there is a lot of single use plastic in the room.
