A mountain sanctuary close to town with a beautiful view.

A beautiful room, 11.5 ft x 17 ft, approx. with a full glass wall facing a view of a mountain range, suitable for guests who like a calm environment. Ideal for those who are out most of the day and want a
peaceful place to rest at night. Has queen size bed to sleep 2, refrigerator, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster, electric frying pan and a closet. Pure filtered water. A beautiful full bathroom, 6ft.x 7.5 ft approx. with bathtub, & skylight. Bed linens and towels provided, as well as some toiletries and some breakfast snacks on the first morning. Keurig coffee maker and Roku tv set.
Great for serious writing or relaxing in nature on our swing or from the seating area beneath the trees.
Please note that though it is a part of the larger house it is private, with its own entrance and parking space.

Note: Boone has been nominated as one of the best small towns to live in, in North Carolina, by the Crazy It has its own university, hospitals, and many tourist attractions. The property is located 15 minutes easy drive outside of town.

Beautiful view, comfortable bed, adequate kitchen area, and many small touches you normally don't find. Coffee and cream, as well as a few breakfast snacks were provided. The hosts were most accommodating, very pleasant, and also very interesting folks. Also respectful of privacy. We would love to make a return visit.

Small Studio
Location was good. Owners were nice. It is a small studio in the upper level of the building. The upper level consists of the owner’s residence, a vacant two room apartment and the studio. The lighting is poor and the room is cramped. The kitchen area has a microwave, small refrigerator (freezer compartment keeps food frozen), electric frying pan, convention top 2-burner “hot plate like” stove (I did not use), pot and frying pan, some plates, bowls and utensils. The sitting area is two small wicker chairs and side table. No where to sit and eat. The ac is a portable unit. It is noisy when running. The bathroom is a good size with tall ceiling, full bathtub/shower and a skylight. Plenty of electrical outlets. However, there is a mold and mildew problem in the bathroom. It also needs to be cleared of spiders and there webs. Additional linens were available upon request (text message to owner). Overall, not bad. I guess it was good for the price.

We were scheduled to stay 3 nights but only stayed one. The view was beautiful however we had some issues with the apartment. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. The issue we had is that we were looking more of a place where we could cook our meals but there was no hot plate of pots, I did bring a griddle. The other item was the sliding glass door had to be locked with a chain and pad lock to secure the apartment if you left. It was not the place we were looking for and we opted to leave.

I needed to escape the hustle and bustle of my two-job life in Charlotte, and Healing Ridge was the perfect place for some peace and quiet. The view of the valley was spectacular, and there were no rowdy neighbors.

Carole’s apartment was a perfect place for us to stay while we explored the Boone area. It was close to downtown but far enough away to be very quiet and peaceful. We loved walking along the road and visiting with the neighborhood cows. We would definitely recommend this lovely place.
