Staff is very welcoming. We stay in early spring and the property was still in need of some “spring cleaning “. Outside porch was worn and chairs were dirty from winter. The room was clean and comfortable. Pool area was very nice.

Terrible breakfast. There is no breakfast buffet, their online description is highly deceptive and misleading. There was some lukewarm coffee, a few dry bagels, muffins and toast. No eggs, no links, no bacon… nothing warm. Then the manager had the audacity to tell me that I didn’t even qualify for any breakfast since I didn’t book directly with the hotel. Expedia members don’t count. I also qualified as a VIP guest which they ALSO didn’t honor (no free beverage). Small stuff like that ruins your vacation, especially since the listing boasts about their breakfast! I can eat elsewhere, but the manager felt like blaming ME for not booking with them directly.

Adorable hotel. Stayed with three other ladies and it was spacious and comfortable. Would absolutely stay again. Great location in Blowing Rock with tons of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Staff beyond accommodating and friendly.

The room and bath were in excellent condition as they were newly renovated. Beautifully done. Beds were ok. Little soft for our taste. Nice coffee maker. Plenty of shelving/drawers. The rest of the building (eg carpets) need renovation. Nice fireplace in entrance. Sufficient parking. Excellent location. There is a pool but we didn’t have a chance to use it. Staff were cordial.

Clean, safe, walking distance to shop/eat, pleasant staff and decorated for Christmas/New Year. However, the heat in room #208 was not working very well at all. We unpacked when we arrived and then went out to eat not realizing the heat was not working. When we returned, we raised the thermostat and still not good. Luckily, it was not to terribly cold so we just turned it off. We reported it to the front desk as we departed the next morning.

They put us in the annex building. This was fine except our shower did not work at all. They said they didn't have any more rooms to put us in until the next day. We had to walk to the main building and take a shower in the gym room. Needless to say, my wife and 2 daughters were not happy. I feel like they should not have charged us for the first night since we didn't have basic sanitation.

The hotel was lovely and clean and our suite was very spacious. The problem was the noise coming from the heating system. As soon as we walked into the room we could hear a noise that sounded like a washing machine running coming from a locked cupboard right next to the bed. My husband went and spoke to the manager who told him the noise was the heating system and that all of the rooms were the same so we couldn't even move. We had to put up with that noise all night long so we did not sleep very well at all. We had to have the tv volume up to 100 in order to hear it. Would not recommend staying here if you want a nice peaceful sleep. Its a shame because otherwise the hotel would have been perfect as its in a great location.

We stayed at the Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock, NC for a three-day vacation. The room itself was okay and met basic expectations, but there were a few issues that impacted our stay. The shower never had hot water and the water pressure from the shower head was very low. In addition, the walls seemed quite thin — we could hear almost everything going on in the rooms around us, which made it difficult to fully relax. On the positive side, the hotel staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. The location is also convenient for visiting Blowing Rock. With improvements to the water issues and soundproofing, this could be a more comfortable place to stay.
