“We have stayed at The Powfoot Hotel as a stopover on the way to our final destination in Scotland. It is an absolute gem. Of course there are newer and plusher hotels but this place takes some beating for its idyllic location, courteous and professional service, cleanliness, comfort and good value restaurant. “Had a great stay room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Most of the staff were great apart from a couple at breakfast hardly spoke when I spoke to them and very miserable not one smile and I have an infectious smile. ”

“I was warmly welcomed to this B&B. It is a beautiful house set in extensive grounds. From my window I had lovely views of the garden and beyond. The room was beautifully decorated and the bedding was soft and comfortable. With the warmth of the welcome and the excellent breakfast I would agree this is an excellent 4* and worthy of its great reviews.”
