My wife and i stayed at the cabin with another couple and our toddlers. The cabin is very nice and comfortable. If was absolutely beautiful and tucked away in the woods. The cabin has a little stream running next to it and the toddlers had a blast playing in it along with the play ground. The adults enjoyed the fire pit, arcade games, and hot tub! The hosts did a phenomenal job on communication. We will be back!
The property is in a great location inside loop 259A where you can avoid traffic during your stay. It’s on a double lot with lots of room outside to play. The inside has very large tv’s and some games for the kids. One thing that could be added to the kitchen is some steak knives as the only sharp knives at the place is a butcher knife for cutting meat.Unfortunately the property was not adequately cleaned before our arrival. We found candy wrappers and bottle tops under the beds. Not a huge deal, but the hot tub is always a big highlight for us when we go to broken bow. I checked it when we arrived and it was already cloudy and foamy. By day two we noticed it was already filthy with brown foamy residue collecting along the walls and circulating. I asked for chemicals to add or to have it cleaned and was told we get one cleaning prior to arrival, which was clearly not done properly. I checked the filter and found that it was clogged up with leaves and tons of the brown residue. It appeared to not have been cleaned in quite a while. Another thing I didn’t love was that there were surveillance cameras at each entry door. I understand the reason for trespassers, but one camera could not be deactivated and pointed at the firepit and play area. Not the most private setting we were hoping for.Given the plethora of options in beavers bend to choose from, I would pick a different cabin next time.

Home not cleaned, inhospitable host, refused to give us any credit, blamed VRBO unclean house
We had a negative experience with the host of this property. Check in time was 4pm. We arrived at 8pm, the door to the home was stuck closed b/c of rainy conditions. We had no cell signal b/c of the remote location. Thankfully we have a wifi hotspot in our car. We used that signal to message the host. She promptly replied. We unloaded our car only to find the home was not cleaned. The beds were unmade w/o sheets & pillows & blankets all over the floors. There were 4 dirty socks left around the home. There were no clean towels in the home. The trash was full. We contacted the host again & notified her of the conditions. She blamed the home not being cleaned on VRBO not notifying her of our stay. We had messaged the host via VRBO message system the day prior to check in for recommendations (which she provided 5 separate responses). The host clearly knew when we were checking in. We heard back from the host who said a cleaner could be there in 30 min. We said that wasn't acceptable b/c it was late we'd been traveling & just wanted to shower & go to bed. She responded that she found a property that was 15 min away go to. The new home was fine, no issues! We contacted VRBO after check out to report this and ask for partial refund. We sent them photo evidence of our claims. They refunded us a small amount (our booking fee) & said further refunds were at host discretion. Host is unwilling to give any refund for our inconvenience, she acts like our request was unreasonable.
