It’s isolated, hard to find, and getting there can feel like trekking through reeds and local housing. The hotel itself looks good – clearly a lot of money has been invested to make it feel luxurious. Check-in was a strange experience, taking well over 10 minutes and the owner greeting us but didn’t introduce herself until quite late in the conversation. The room we were shown was just around the corner, but the lights weren’t even working. The room itself was fine, but nothing special. The main issues lie with the overall atmosphere and service. The hotel has an eerie, almost unsettling feel: you rarely see other guests, and the staff who were local, while attentive, seem overly trained to follow English customs, which can come off as very fake and pretentious. Food is a major disappointment. Meals were overly oily and unappetizing, and the buffet breakfast is poorly thought out – served near the water, surrounded by insects, and the muesli even had ants in it. The menu changes daily, but the quality doesn’t improve. The hotel’s free boat shuttle to the west bank is a genuine plus, and you’ll want to use it to dine at the Steigenberger across the Nile, which is absolutely unbelievable in comparison. So I ran downstairs and told them the issue. They gave us another (5th floor) and even though you can only see 2 pyramids, we settled because it was a LOT better than the first one. The hotel was ok. The porter who brought us to our room on our checked in asked for more tip. The ONLY really amazing with this hotel was the rooftop where the restaurant was and where they serve the breakfast. Later at night, we found out from our neighbor (next room) that they had the same experience checking in. They gave them a different room rather than the Panoramic view that they booked. So for this reason, I CANNOT RECOMMEND this hotel because they tried to deceive the guests. What I can recommend is to stay on another hotel and have breakfast or dinner on the rooftop of this hotel. The customer service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating. We stayed in the biggest suite. You can tell they’ve made upgrades. It would be ideal if they would update drapery. It is older and has some stains on it. Also note, this hotel has a wonderful view of the pyramids and is in close proximity. La vue sur ka terrasse est à couper le souffle. L'hôtel est très propre.la nourriture est très bonne . Le déjeuner est très de base mais on trouve toujours de quoi manger. Les chambres sont très simples mais très propres. Un point qui doit absolument être amélioré c'est le fait que l'ascenseur arrête fréquemment. Il fini toujours par redémarrer mais c'est très stressant. J'ai pris les escaliers plusieurs fois. Pour le secteur cet hôtel est très bien. Je vais sûrement y retourner.
