However, the customer service at the front desk needs improvement. The lady who checked us in was very unfriendly—no smile and not accommodating at all. We had booked three rooms for our family and had just arrived early after a long drive from our previous destination. We understood that early check-in might not be available, which was fine. We asked another staff member if we could use the bathroom while waiting for our rooms. He was very kind and led us to what we believed was a public restroom. While we were using the bathroom, the front desk clerk gave us a disapproving look and told us that we were not supposed to be there. I politely explained that we were directed there by another staff member to use the restroom. The situation made us feel uncomfortable and was handled poorly. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Our room was clean, quaint, and comfortably decorated. There was a gas fireplace which was so enjoyable and cozy. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker with Starbucks products. We enjoyed the hot tub after we ate dinner at the Moonstone beach Bar and Grill which is a short walk from the motel. The hot tub was nice and hot, perfect! There was also a gas firepit with a glass surround in the hot tub area.
