"We really liked our two weeks at the hotel. my wife and I. I was however more than slightly unhappy by the lack of heating in the pools, which I reported through Expedia as well as not being offered a VIP upgrade or a few hours late checkout. The hotel guest services came back to me within hours and while it didn't make the pools warmer it did make us feel hugely better. Part of the remedy included the later checkout. I have to say the hotel restaurants have a have fantastically extensive menus with dishes which are genuinely fresh and well prepared. With staff who were always polite and flawless in their services. Added to which the hotel IT system clearly worked very well as the staff at a restaurant or bar would ask how was such a thing we had asked about relating to our minibar for example. It made us feel that what we said mattered and was being taken seriously. The other thing to keep in mind is that the hotel offers a really extensive range of activities which you need to log onto the app to know about. These including but not limited to, shooting, archery, cooking, mixing drinks, tennis. The list really is long. This was the first time we have stayed at a Secrets hotel, and we think it may not be our last. I would certainly recommend the Lanzarote Secrets."

"A lovely hotel set in a great location. It was just sometimes difficult to arrange dinner at the time you would like. Also the coffee at breakfast could be improved. It would also be good if they opened the main indoor restaurant for dinner when it rains instead of cramming everyone into the limited indoor space at some of the restaurants as it made for an unpleasent experience."

"The standout highlight of our stay at Grand Hyatt Lanzarote was Ainara in Guest Experience. We have stayed at many luxury hotels, but the treatment she provided was unmatched. She personally looked after all my dietary needs (vegetarian with an egg allergy), checked on us every evening at dinner, gave us incredible local travel tips, and kindly arranged a day on the Balinese beds after we had an issue with the standard pool loungers. The hotel location is fantastic, and the buffet and dining options are surprisingly great for an all-inclusive setup. However, a few areas need attention to meet true 5-star standards: 1. Pool Safety & Comfort: The pool lacks proper entry steps, which made getting in with our 4-month-old baby tricky and unsafe. The mesh pool beds also need an upgrade as they aren't comfortable for long periods. 2. Housekeeping: Room cleaning was inconsistent throughout our stay. 3. Bar Service: Cocktail preparation was hit-or-miss—some bartenders properly crafted drinks while others just mixed spirits and sodas without shaking them. Huge thanks again to Ainara for making our family holiday so memorable! Key Highlights Included: Highlighted Ainara clearly by name (hotels heavily reward employees mentioned positively by name in reviews!). Maintained a balanced tone that highlights her top-tier service while offering constructive feedback regarding safety (baby entry at pool), cleanliness, and bar standards."

"What an incredible hotel! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The staff were fantastic – so friendly, welcoming and attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure everyone had the best experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with excellent amenities and everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. The rooms were spotless, spacious, comfortable and beautifully maintained. The food was amazing, with plenty of choice and something for everyone. The location was just perfect, with stunning views and beautiful surroundings that made the whole experience even more special. I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. Every little detail made our stay memorable, and we loved every single minute. It was one of those holidays you just don’t want to end! I’m already planning my return, which says it all! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday. Can’t wait to be back!"

"The first thing to take into account that this is utility accommodation which may not suit everyone. It is on a room only basis, and is not en suite. However, if that meets your needs, then it is fine. I used it essentially as a base and it suited me fine."
