The location is secluded except for the occasional hunter (Tis the season). We loved our stay. The only thing I would change for next time is potentially have a cleaner come the morning of check in to vacuum up all the bugs (lots of spiders, Japanese beetles, and box elder bugs inside the house upon arrival). A little mouse poop in the oven as well, but this is what is expected with a rustic location. We couldn't find the extra propane for the grill, so we will remember to bring some next time. The property sits in a valley that is absolutely spectacular. The house is better than the pictures. The four seasons room is fantastic! The kitchen is well equipped. Had a group of 5 for a low-key Bachelorette party. It was exactly what we needed. It was a beautiful spot that was peaceful and quiet. The host was easy to contact and very helpful. The property is secluded and we saw tons of birds and lightning bugs. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the day after a long hike or a kayak trip down the Kickapoo river (Mr Ducks was a fantastic place to rent kayaks, tubes or canoes). The deck, front porch, sunroom and fire pit gave it a homey and relaxing feel. The beds were very comfortable, and there were nicely renovated bathrooms. It is rustic and aways out there, but so worth it! Very clean and has everything you need. Plenty spacious and comfortable. This little gem of a property tops them all. As our family has grown, so does the need for space. Man, what beautiful surroundings this place has to offer inside and out. Our growing family (dogs included) could not ask for more.
