Beautiful raised ranch home in the country on 7+ acres of lawn, woods, and fields. Upper level has hardwood floors, large open concept kitchen living room area with patio door to a 12'x24' deck, master bed w/bath, two additional bedrooms and full bathroom. The walk out lower level has a large main room with sofa bed and kitchenette, two bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and a single car garage . Large windows in every room to enjoy the marvelous views. Only 8 miles south of Interstate 90 at Tomah, WI, and 3 miles north of Wilton WI (heart of the Elroy/Sparta bike trail). Canoeing on the Kickapoo in Ontario WI is 11 miles away, as well as Amish shops to explore. Forty-five minutes away from The Dells (to the South) and La Crosse, WI and the Mississippi river (to the West). Only 20 miles to Ft. McCoy with skiing, tubing and snowboarding available. Or bring your own sleds and enjoy the hill directly in front of the house (the house faces the driveway, not the road).

This was a great home base for three families (with 5 teenagers) for kayaking on the Kickapoo River. Plenty of room, three showers, space for the kids downstairs, a gas grill, and a fire pit. Check-in and communication were easy. Would absolutely stay here again!

The property was very clean, the beds comfortable and the host was wonderful. We did a women’s kayaking weekend. It was neat being in Amish territory. The Sparta-Elroy bike trail and Dorset Valley School House were fun to visit.

Family biking vacation

Wonderful location and property. Had a great time on the bike trail and riding the country roads with family. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway. Would love to return in the future.

Our annual Christmas get together

Our family which reside in the Milwaukee, and Minneapolis areas annually rent a house somewhere in between to enjoy the Christmas holiday. We chose the residence in the Wilton area this year for our get together. The host, much to our surprise decorated the home with a Christmas tree and other decorations which really made it a special time for us. The house was very neat and comfortable which also added to our enjoyment.

Everything you need!

Visiting our son and family over Thanksgiving and grandsons hockey tournament. We wanted someplace where we could all be together. This was perfect! Highly recommend!

A little piece of heaven

House is everything you would want in a VRBO home! Lots of room for a very large family if needed. House is very clean and Rose is just down the road if you need anything. Definitely a 5 star and I would book with her again!!

We all enjoyed our girls weekend away. There was plenty of space for all of us and we were able to use the space to make meals and play games. No issues! Private space and balcony were lovely!

Biker’s weekend

The house and location was beautiful!! We traveled many of the back roads on our Harleys and they were awesome (except all the gravel roads) plent of room at this house for bigger groups… only complaint was the garage wasn’t big enough for all the bikes but it never rained so we were good!! Thanks for sharing your house

Serene Family Getaway

This place is everything I could hope for in a vacation rental. It was meticulously clean, well stocked, and located in such a quiet and beautiful part of Wisconsin. There was an abundant amount of clean towels and blankets. The house rules and checkout process were minimal unlike other places we have been. And the owner was only a text message away and a real person which is so much better than trying to communicate with a third party house managing service. Our family came for the purpose of riding the Elroy Sparta trail which was a short five minute drive with Amish farms all along the way.

Great Girl’s Weekend

What a fantastic property! There were 6 of us for a Girl’s weekend and we were very comfortable. The house was beautiful with 5 bedrooms, kitchen and bath well-stocked with everything you could need, and very clean! It is a very remote location which was great for us. It was 45 minutes to LaCrosse which did not bother us, but something visitors should not glaze over in the listing as Rose is sure to note that. This property was even better than we expected. We are already talking about a return visit to the property.

Space to spread out

We come to the Tomah area every year for a pool tournament held by the Monroe County tavern league, to raise money for their safe ride program. We have always stayed in the smaller mom and pop motels. On a whim, we decided to check out VRBO property availabilities. We found this one, that has enough sleep space for up to 14 people (there's 10 of us in our group). It was perfect for us! The kitchen/dining area is quite large with a huge table that we were all able to gather around for meals and cards and comradery. We never battled for a bathroom, as there are 3 of them. And everything was provided, unlike many other places where you have to take your own towels, paper products, coffee filters, etc...We will definitely be back. The only drawback may be that if the winter weather is nasty, the roads may be a little dicey, you would most likely need 4 wheel drive.

Great family weekend!

We had a relaxing family stay on a beautiful property. Everyone could do as much or as little as they pleased during our stay. The setting was quiet and peaceful with plenty of space inside and outside of the house for the little ones to run around. The location was great with many activities available within a short drive. Our host was quickly responsive to any questions we had. We’d definitely stay here again!

Fun with Friends

This was a perfect fit for our group of 7 people! The property was well maintained and clean. We had enough space to spread out and "party" as much as 50 & 60 year olds do. The kitchen layout works well for shared meals and many games played on the dining room table. The front deck is perfect for napping in Spring Sunshine.The "Amish Walmart" was a fun adventure and we found quite a few good deals. Something to check out if in the area.We will hopefully be back again next spring for our annual get together. Thank you for your hospitality!!!

Sisters Weekend

Myself and my 6 sisters all get together every September for a long weekend getaway. Plenty of beds for everyone, nice and peaceful and enjoyed the area Amish farms.

Awesome place to stay. Many bedrooms and lots of space. Phenomenal DVD movie selection in upstairs living room. Good yard space to play games and drink. Big fridge for plenty of adult beverages and hosts are very nice.

Amazing place for all ages!

House was described perfectly in the listing and met all of our needs and more. Everything you would want to be here was available and the internet was great for those who may need it. Had a pile of kids from 2 to 9 and all of their needs were met and the yard was amazing. Would stay here again without hesitation!

A great time was had by all

The location is very quiet and peaceful within a very gorgeous landscape. The house is extremely spacious and has plenty of rooms for individuals. We brought extra items with us (ie. Coffee filters, paper towels, toilet paper) only to find out that everything needed for an extended stay was cleverly supplied. We're planning a trip a year in advance already just to make sure we can stay at this exact place!
