"Unfortunately the chef wasn't available so no dinner service. I personally found the double bed to small and very low. The toilet seat was in need of maintenance. Will give it another try when next in the area."

"We did have an issue with the hot water for the shower and the staff did their best to sort it out. All staff we dealt with were polite, friendly & helpful. The room was very clean and all furniture in good condition. Great to have a large car park on site. Could have done with a bit more choice for a continental breakfast & maybe some rustic bread choices, rather than a sliced loaf. What food we did have was of good quality."

"The cottage was beautiful, and very comfortable. It had everything we needed. The location is amazing, with spectacular views. We were able to explore all of south Shropshire from this property. Communication with the hosts before arrival was excellent. The property is awkward to find but the instructions were very clear, and the hand made signs on the lane made it very easy.Matthew and Laura came out to meet us when we arrived, but were then very discreet. We would highly recommend this property."

"Lovely old pub off the main road. Staff are helpful, they serve a good pint and the breakfast was first rate. Negative points - the mattress on the king-size bed is too soft and no brewed coffee in the morning. I would stay there again."

"A beautiful building in a perfect location for enjoying the gorgeous picturesque town of Ludlow. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and if you don’t mind a little bit of uneven flooring in an ancient building this is a great place to stay."

"Great stopover on the way to Newquay. It’s rated a 5 star but nearer to 4 as there’s scuffs and stains on the wall. Window was kept closed via a screws. Breakfast was excellent. Polite staff."

"Nice independent run hotel at about the level of a Holiday Inn. Rooms are an adequate size for two to share. Some of the exterior is it showing its age around the back facing on to the sports facilities which are apparently not maintained to a level to currently in use. Restaurant evening menu and bar have a wide selection of options, and the morning breakfast buffet has a good wide selection. There is also a range of good restaurants and pubs within a short distance if you don't want to use the on-site offering. Would I stay again? Yes."
