“I did not have a good experience but it was potentially situational. I booked through Expedia, but when I arrived the hostel did not receive my booking. They had overbooked a large group of Spanish university students. The hostel was full of locals and had very few actual travellers (one of the reasons I wanted to stay in a hostel was to connect with other travellers). Staff kindly gave me a private room which was a bed in a tiny room with no window. Again I had wanted to connect with people so……
