"This hotel was awesome. The location was perfect, very close to all the action in the town. The desk help was very friendly and hospitable. The rooms were large, quiet, and clean. The bedding was amazing, sheets smelled like bleach, pillows were fluffy and the room staff kept our beds tidy. Great stay all around. Highly recommend staying here. "
"1st. The staff was absolutely amazing. The manager was so nice to help break things down for us, and really made us feel welcome. He gave us great suggestions for dining and things to see. The view is great and really cant beat it. My only suggestions is they definitely need to update their bathrooms. Ours was so outdated that grout was not even sticking to shower walls. There was no room in the bathroom with counter space, we had 3 women in our room, we had no room for make up, hair products, brushes, etc. The water definitely needs to be looked at. I tried showering at 10pm twice and it was going hot to cold the whole time. Some of the outlets were not working in out room, so again with 3 people and lots of electronics we did not have enough outlets for all our stuff. Even with those issues, because of the staff and view, I would still absolutely go back. Hopefully the bathrooms will be updated :) I will also say our room was clean, thankfully we did not have party near us as well because it was nice and quiet at night. "
"Clean, simple and nice people. Walk to dinner. Grocery across the street. Pictured rocks and ferry to Grand Island are minutes away. Rooms are large. We appreciated the in room fridge and microwave. "

"We had a great stay at this cute and clean home. Loved the wall decor of pictured rocks. Very easy to walk to the boat dock area, shops, and restaurants. Lots of closet space to keep things tidy while we were there. Fun games that our 3 year old enjoyed! Excellent communication as well! Would definitely come back!"
"This was our first trip to the UP and with 3 kids and a large dog, we don’t travel light. I was a little worried not having a big discount store nearby but all that stress melted away when we arrived and all the little things were already waiting for us- from soap to dog dishes to marshmallows to extra TP, the house was fully stocked. The property has a large completely private yard with plenty of room for running and sitting on the deck or by the fire feels like your own private oasis. It’s very easy to get to several waterfalls from Au Train Falls (go there and play in the falls!) to Pictured Rocks and there’s several nearby roadside parks with sandy beaches to jump in the lake from. And the jetted master tub and master shower were great for easing sore muscles after a long day of exploring. We were all sad when it was time to come home."
"Danielle, the host, was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was a great communicator and answered all of our questions, including providing spot-on recommendations. The house had all the supplies we might need, comfortable beds, lots of space to spread out, and beautiful views over the lake. This was an ideal location to explore Pictured Rocks and the surrounding towns. We would highly recommend The Pines!"
"This is a nice, modern, cozy cabin which is close to everything Munising has to offer. It is tucked away in a little clearing down a dirt road so you get the experience of being away from it all in the woods while remaining close enough to the sites. The stars at night were beautiful. The owners are absolutely wonderful. The caretaker was very kind and baked us cookies. The beds are comfortable, and the water pressure is good. The stairs to the loft are steep with low clearance, so best suited for kids. We enjoyed our stay."

Quiet year round lake home, swimming/fishing, near Pictured Rocks, trail access

"Our family of 6 enjoyed our 5-night stay at Nevins Lake. The kitchen, family room, laundry facilities, and bathroom were excellent. Our kids enjoyed the lofted bedroom. The main floor bedrooms are simple but worked well for us. The grounds are spacious, and the view from the back yard is beautiful. We enjoyed the firepit and back patio table, both with lake views. The tiki torches and unlimited firewood made for great times around the fire. The availability of 4 kayaks (1-person each), a canoe, a paddleboat, and a rowboat made it easy for all of us to get out on the water at the same time. Highlights for us included swimming in the lake and fishing (good pike, smallmouth bass, and bluegill fishing; largemouth bass are available as well).The house is closer to the Pictured Rocks attractions than we expected. Our favorites were the Log Slide Overlook, Grand Sable dunes, Hurricane River hike along Lake Superior, Chapel Rock, and Miners Beach/Castle."
