“Beautiful setting with wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. The house is charming, renovated, updated, clean, and comfortable. Great location for a family gathering to bike, visit the battlefield or visit Shepherdstown. Hosts went above and beyond to be sure we had all we needed. Would definitely stay again if in the area. ”

“Everything was great. We loved the flowers. I was checking out all the pictures and quilts. It stayed quiet, no traffic or fire calls. It was neat for sure.”

“Love this place! Clean, off the road a little, quiet area. She definitely made a smaller house feel like there’s a bit of room! Comfy king bed in one room (the other room had a queen bed which my son slept on). Nice size comfortable couch for the living room. ”

“Our family needed a weekend getaway that wasn't too far from our home but had the amenities we wanted - like a pool and a fire pit and nice views!We arrived to a cozy and clean 3 bedroom cabin. We had a week-long heat wave and the cabin's split AC unit seemed to work well under those circumstances. We brought our 4 small dogs - but had them caged 90% of the time since we could not trust them to not jump on the couch with us. We roasted smores on the fire pit, enjoyed the lower deck bar and...

“We had such an amazing time! Great location close to many amenities. We loved the owners recommendations for food and fun things to do. We loved hiking the Maryland heights trail and exploring Harper’s ferry. It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and we love the outdoors and history. We can’t wait to come back!”

“Comfortable and right at the C&O trail, so easy to take lovely walks. The house is clean, the kitchen and dining spaces more than adequate, multiple common areas are nice, as are bedrooms. Minor issue in that it seems the visitors before us made the remote for the downstairs tv disappear. Connection via phone, text etc can be spotty unless you're on the houses wifi, which worked well.”

“The A Frame Mountain Retreat was an excellent choice for our girls trip! The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and true to the photos. We enjoyed the hot tub and cute firepit area immensely There were some ants, which is to be expected in the middle of the woods, but keeping all of our food in sealed containers or the fridge helped. Kim, the host, was informative and prompt to respond. I felt well prepared prior to arrival. The location was nice. You really feel like you’re secluded in the woods....

“My husband and I enjoyed our five day stay at the Canal House. We were surrounded by early American décor and felt like we stepped back in time with modern conveniences added. “My dog Autumn and I had a very comfortable stay. The neighbor to our right had dogs and they would be off leash when let out. There was no fence. Because my dog is reactive to other dogs,I had to be extra cautious when taking her out for potty. ”

“We really enjoyed staying here. Kitchen was well stocked. Beautiful porch with a gorgeous view. Living area is nice and open. The inly feedback I would have is that the master bed does not have much support, so my back was a little sore in the mornings after sleeping on it. Overall would absolutely stay here again!”
