The bad stars for the individual parts (cleanliness, staff, amenities) don't tell the full story of how great this place was as a whole. For European travellers this is a must as it gives such a great glimpse of old school Americana holidays...cabins, tents, airstreams by the river, a shared pool, BBQ utensils and fixed BBQs in front of every property, s'mores before under the stars. What a great time to have!!!
Location was great, some food alternatives nearby (Tony's greek food truck 5 mins drive as well as a local market for anything you might need).
Our room wasn't perfectly clean, but it's a cabin near a river..can't expect that to be sparkling.
One thing I wasn't happy about...there is an amenity fee for the various offerings (WiFi, pool, bike rental, Tesla charging, granola breakfast bar) that everyone has to pay even if you don't use these amenities, and in my mind that wasn't clearly advertised (usual side notes on the description)..why not make it part of the price to pay in the first place?
I did laugh at checkin when the lady told me about the complimentary granola bar...I told her "it's not complimentary when you pay for it!!!)
