"We had an amazing week staying at the property. So peaceful and relaxing, with amazing views to match! This is a very beautiful house, the lounge was super comfortable and we had the privilege of a wood fire which definitely was one of the best parts. It had everything we needed available to us and the communication couldn’t be faulted. Would definitely love to stay again!"

"Loved the outdoor fireplace and the walks through the paddocks. Pre dawn the kookaburras start, then the honeyeaters and the blue fairy wrens. Last and well past sun up, the lazy crows loud and seeking all the attention."

"Fantastic large family home for multi generations. Its set in large grounds with lots to do .Plenty of wildlife and was excited to see emus in the front garden. We had daily walks to feed the pigs, donkeys and ducks . The house is well placed close to witchcliffe ( Dear Darnells, great pub and good coffee too). Also close to Margaret River"

Peaceful rural retreat close to Blackwood River and Hamelin Bay

"Banksia Cottage was the perfect getaway for our family. It's far enough out of town that we felt like we were in the countryside, yet close enough to easily grab supplies and explore the area's attractions, with the Blackwood River (where my son loved fishing), Hamelin Bay and Augusta all just a short drive away.The location is simply beautiful. We woke to the sound of birds, watched kangaroos grazing in the paddocks and sheep wandering across the fields, and enjoyed stunning views over the pastures, bush and dam, all while sitting on the verandah. One of my favourite moments was relaxing in the outdoor bath while looking up at the stars. It was beautiful!The kids had the best time exploring. There's so much space to run around, and they loved seeing the animals up close and walking down to the dam. There was also plenty of space for them to play cricket and kick a ball.The cottage itself is gorgeous: modern, beautifully styled and thoughtfully equipped with absolutely everything we could have needed. The cosy fireplace, well-stocked kitchen and comfortable bedrooms were great.We were able to find the perfect balance between sightseeing, keeping the kids busy and genuine rest. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed and completely de-stressed. We can't wait to come back!"

"Beautifully renovated and located cottage with creature comforts, 10 mins walk from Colour Patch cafe. Log fire came in handy on cold nights. Really appreciated the secure back yard for our little dog. Would highly recommend."
