The hotel is situated a 15 minute walk (downhill) to a very pretty, peaceful town, which has excellent amenities, such as restaurants and cafes. Try to familiarize yourself with the public transport system as this makes it easy for you to get around.

What can one say, a bare bones one night stay. Tea kitchen on the first floor, room was large and warm, bed was ok, bathroom was midget compared to the room and somewhat antiquated.

Historic property, with modern-ish bathroom (bring your own soap and shampoo). Charming old stucture, room was huge. Street parking down the lane next to a park; sometimes had to do a little hunting for parking. There were bus stops nearby. Was in Essen for a huge event at the conference center near downtown, so the prices for hotels downtown were ridiculous. This was a much more affordable option, though a bit of an adventure.

The title is misleading - it's more a hostel than a hotel (e.g. no fridges on the room) and hard to get a hold of the staff, no front desk or reception. Right at the main road with traffic noise most of the day and night. Reasonably priced but not worth coming back, sorry.

Zimmer waren spitze. Das altmodische vom Rathaus war ein Teil des Charms. Die Küche war voll ausgestattete. Man kann kochen wo drauf man Lust hat. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten knapp 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Bäcker direkt sozusagen vor der Tür. Perfekt nur weiter zu empfehlen.

Einfaches Hotel ohne Verpflegung. Sehr netter Empfang, saubere Gemeinschaftsküche um sich einen Tee oder einfache Mahlzeit zuzubereiten. Im Bad hat mir ein Fön gefehlt, habe seit Jahren keinen mehr auf Reisen dabei, da immer einer vor Ort war.

This is a very unique hotel in a historic bank/local government building. The room was very large, extremely clean and had a great bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Just outside are main bus stops to anywhere in Werden. There are two bakeries and several nice restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel proprietor is friendly and knowledgeable. The tea room is very well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, fridge and dishwasher. There is even a fridge with inexpensive Bier and water for sale. Free tea and coffee. The Rathaus 1910 is in a very quiet and safe neighborhood and is easily reached from the Werden S-Bahnhof by bus or a 2 km walk uphill (take the bus!). I very highly recommend this hotel.Dies ist ein sehr einzigartiges Hotel in einem historischen Bank-/Gebäude der Kommunalverwaltung. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, äußerst sauber und hatte ein tolles Badezimmer. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Direkt vor der Tür befinden sich die wichtigsten Bushaltestellen zu allen Zielen in Werden. Zwei Bäckereien und mehrere nette Restaurants sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Hotelbesitzer ist freundlich und kompetent. Die Teestube ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit Geschirr, Kochutensilien, Kühlschrank und Geschirrspüler. Es gibt sogar einen Kühlschrank mit preiswertem Bier und Wasser zum Verkauf. Kostenloses Tee und Kaffee. Das Rathaus 1910 liegt in einer sehr ruhigen und sicheren Gegend und ist vom S-Bahnhof aus bequem mit dem Bus oder einem 2 km langen Fußweg bergauf (

Sehr freundlicher Empfang im Büro sowie nützliche Tipps wo man gut Frühstücken und zu Abend essen kann. Das Zimmer war sauber und für eine kurze Übernachtung ausreichend ausgestattet. Im Bad fehlte mir Duschbad und Shampoo. Für Kurztrips und Geschäftsreisende somit zu empfehlen.
