Stunning location in a beautiful quiet area
If you are looking for a peaceful location, a very short walk from the magnificent beach and surrounded by beautiful scenery then I would highly recommend this property.We stayed as a family and the bedrooms are of a large size to accommodate. The terraced garden and views were wonderful. Parking was easy. Close to local amenities, a shop in Fairbourne selling your essentials. A great base for exploring this area of Welsh coastline and Snowdonia. A wonderful area which I fell in love with all over again. Thank you.

Family Traditional Welsh Cottage Holiday
Amazing stay. Excellent communication from the landlord. The photos do not give justice to this lovely cottage. Kitchen was very well equipped. The bedrooms were clean and cosy ready for a good night rest. The walking distance to the beach was a Hughe benefit and enabled us to walk the dogs there every day.

The cottage is spacious and comfortable. The whole place was really clean, and a pleasure to stay in
I had a great experience renting this cottage. The rooms are well equipped with home comforts and everything feels homely. I love the original features and the setting is second to none, a stone's throw from the beach. I think it's good value for money and we will definitely re book to stay there again.

Fabulous!!
We had an amazing stay in this lovely cottage. The area is very quiet and a great base to travel around Snowdonia and neighbouring towns. The owners have been lovely. The cottage has a lot of character and although there has been some modernisation it hasn't spoiled its appeal. We would definitely visit again but next time for longer.

Cottage comfortable, couple of light bulbs not working, plug socket not very accessible in smaller bedroom, and kitchen needs some cleaning products. There was a very strong musty smell when first entering the Cottage, only small issues but otherwise a very enjoyable weekend. Great access to the beach.

Short walking holiday
My friend and I had wanted to do some walking in the area for a while. The location was ideal for walks along the coast, down the estuary and into the surrounding mountains. The cottage amenities were on the basic end of the spectrum but what we expected. The beds and furniture were comfortable, and the kitchen provided all we needed. We wouldn't hesitate making another booking.

Pros and cons
Compared with other Welsh properties we have stayed in over the years it didn’t make it into one we would return to, however, we did enjoy our stay, the scenic surroundings and proximity to the beach was perfect, the cottage and garden could just do with a few tweaks to make it that home from home.

Walking into the property was like stepping back in time, the musty smell didn't give a good first impression. However the quaintness of the cottage was in keeping with its age. Upstairs was a lot more modern. Only drawback if you have a dog is the access to the back garden and the uneven terraced areas.

Cottage ok, but too much furniture, slightly damp, black mould around windows, bathroom heater not working, no logs for fire, but we made most of it. Dog's loved the sea.

welcome break
Ideal base for a relaxing break near Barmouth- best features include the wonderful comfy beds and the terraced garden. Could have done with a cupboard to store food, but kitchen otherwise well-equipped, we had everything we needed. Slight downside is that the main bedroom window does not shut properly so were woken by the first traffic every day , 30 mph speed limit did not seem to apply at 6 am. But overall we had a lovely time, thank you!

Lovely little weekend break away
Lovely old quaint little cottage. Views from the private little garden are amazing! Loved watching the sunset over the sea! Lots of steps but we were all ok managing them. Even the two under 5’s . Nice touch with the sones butter and jam left as a welcome gift. Beds really comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen. Had a lovely weekend.

Lovely cottage in great location
We had a really lovely weekend at the cottage. It was larger than we expected and had everything we needed to be a home from home. The location is fantastic with the beach being a two minute walk away. The welcome pack of scones, jam etc was much appreciated. Thank you, we hope to return at some point!

Birthday weekend celebrations
Lovely weekend away for my birthday celebrations. So lovely after a lockdown birthday last year. I went with my boyfriend and his parents and my little dog Coco. Cottage was clean and tidy on arrival. Welcome of milk, butter, jam and cake was left for us. Fire at night was lovely. The stairs are quite narrow and steep, but my in laws managed. Garden was very beautiful and view from top patio was amazing. Weather was very good to us. We visited Barmouth, Fairbourne, Tywyn and Lake Vyrlnwy. All in all a good weekend away. Thank you Sarah

Wet West Wales!
All rooms clean and bedrooms very well appointed. It’s good for two people, and we would certainly consider booking it again in Spring or Summer. The kitchen/living room was fine with the log burner and the kitchen was reasonably well equipped. There were two of us, so the one settee was adequate. The other downstairs room was gloomy and cold with an oversized hideous red leather three piece suite, and we only used it to keep our belongings in. [The numerous “knick knacks” were a bit grim for our taste, but that’s just a personal view!]
