“We loved staying at the Casita del sol cabin. Took a vacation to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday on 4th of July. We choose the cabin we did because it was off the beaten path and cozy looking yet only about 40 mins to Montpelier and maybe an hour or so to Stow (via as litle highway as possible.) “We were in town for our daughter's wedding at the Lake Morey resort. We stayed the beginning of the week here, with our family prior to moving to the resort for the wedding day and celebrations. It was wonderful! Big enough to accomodate our family, but with three stories and covered porches it was also private to those who want to hang in the lower level or main level or outside. “Very rustic which is fine and I'm usually up for. The water is atrocious and needs to be tested. My daughter and I were sick for two days after drinking the water. I have a terrible sense of smell, but noticed it when showering after the first night. Horrible. We left but could not get all the way home (6 hours drive) because of our gastrointestinal issues. We live separately and could not connect any other shared consumptions. Owner is very nice, but does not respond to emails or texts even……

“My family of four traveled for a quick fall foliage tour mid October. We used this house as our base instead of staying at multiple places. This meant we drove a little more each day but we got to wake up and come home to this magical place. Seriously. We wanted to come home early each day to spend more time here. It’s quiet, enchanting, spotless, and filled with charm. I cannot stress how beautiful and peaceful it is being directly on the lake. We will definitely be back. ”

“This home has it all! Beautifully decorated, cozy fireplace, spacious private surroundings, the BEST claw foot bathtubs, mountain and star views magnificent! We had 12 people and the home’s size afforded us all plenty of privacy. Great stove in kitchen. Plenty of firewood stacked. Off grid living was cool! No TVs!
