It is a 10-minute or less drive to each of La Parva and El Colorado, and a 25-minute drive to Valle Nevado (note these times without ski traffic; expect longer if you are headed to the resorts for first lift). “The town of La Parva is cute but not much to do. There’s 2 restaurants. An amazing small quaint Fondue spot where you can get to know the owner and staff, which I did! There is no washer n dryer in the unit and the staff at La Marmita let me use the resturants washer/dryer!!! The other restaurant was bigger with a more traditional menu and outdoor seating. If you go, you must bring food from the grocery store to cook from Santiago. The road up/down from Santiago is about 100 switchbacks. Very……

However, nobody opened the door for us after we got out of taxi or offered to help with our luggage until we reached the check-in counter. The hotel and the facilities are also a bit aged. It is a pretty good hotel, but it doesn’t quite match the typical Ritz Carlton standard."
