“From arrival to departure everything ran smoothly and staff were very helpful. I had an issue in relation to the size of the shower, and explained this to Amanda on reception. She immediately responded and checked with housekeeping, before calling Neil, who took me to two other bedrooms and upon seeing these, I then chose a suitable alternative. “Having stayed last year in a luxury premier suite we decided to return but this time for 2 nights in a junior suite. On arrival we were able to upgrade to a luxury premier suite, room 202. Superb suite with everything you could want and with fantastic views. Breakfast and dinner excellent in the Rockfield restaurant. A very relaxing experience at the Spa and enjoyed drinks in both the Cellar and Watergate bars. Look forward to returning.”

The proprietor, Catherine, welcomed us into her home, offering tea and home-baked sweet-cakes, a lively discussion of the history and workings of the local establishment. We felt pampered, such a warm welcome. The room, beds/linens was ao comfortable, with plenty of amenities. Breakfast was made to order, generous and very delicious. “Loved the location, quiet and lovely grounds. Was quite far from any towns, so if that is important, it might be something to consider. Not enough towels. Tiny kitchen area. All bedrooms and the only bathroom were all up a huge flight of stairs and the beds were very uncomfortable. Very pricey for what was offered. Would get unaffordable quickly if you stayed for very long. But it was a lovely home in a lovely area and very quiet and clean. ”

“Neil the host welcomed us when we arrived and explained everything. The cabin was spotless, and full of everything we needed, and cosy and warm. Hot tub was a joy no matter the weather, and we really enjoyed a movie night on the comfy sofa and projector.”
