“Lovely view of the Lough from the suite which was well furnished. The staff were all very attentive & helpful, so well done to them on good old fashioned customer care. Really lovely setting in the countryside with a cracking building inside and out. ”

The proprietor, Catherine, welcomed us into her home, offering tea and home-baked sweet-cakes, a lively discussion of the history and workings of the local establishment. We felt pampered, such a warm welcome. The room, beds/linens was ao comfortable, with plenty of amenities. Breakfast was made to order, generous and very delicious. Carherine leaves nothing out, paying close attention to details.……

“Host entered our locked room while we were gone to draw the shades and turn our tv off. Invasion of privacy. Also, beware if you come here in the winter, host is a penny pincher and won’t keep the heat on in the house past 10pm. We were absolutely freezing and had to leave the accommodation because it was far too cold for our children. He refused to turn it on. ”

“It was a beautiful location. The cottages are well equipped. There was a bit of a musty smell. I think that could have been the carpets in the bedrooms and sitting area. Wooden floors would be more hygienic. Having the hotel so close was the effect for the leisure centre and bar! A great weekend all considered and I will be back!”

“Blessingbourne Apartments offer a comfortable and practical place to stay. The beds are especially comfy, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The shower has good hot water, although the water pressure is a little low, and there was a slight leak in the hot water bottle. The sofas are fine for relaxing, but could be slightly more comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay, though the kettle and teapot would benefit from descaling. It would……
