Once we entered, we were immediately hit by an odor of mildew. The shower in the main bathroom doesn’t fully shut off and with no ventilation, water just sits on the ceiling. When we tried to air out the place, we discovered that not a single window has a screen so it wasn’t possible to even sleep with the windows open so we were forced to buy diffusers to help with the stench. There was ONE plug in we found but it was empty… fire hazard? No stand fan either. No extra blankets. Uncomfortable beds. Now, on to the pool… it’s one thing to have been surprised that it was not a private pool with some sort of direct access (like a balcony/patio) but the one instance we ventured there, we discovered that it was freezing cold despite the advertisement of it being heated AND there is a unit directly attached to the pool area. So, not only did we not get to enjoy an aspect of the unit we paid for, looked forward to, and disregarded other rentals for BECAUSE of this “perk”, but even if we tried to enjoy the pool, doing so would have encroached on someone else. We also had no WiFi. Tried to work out compensation with the Hospitality Group but no issues beyond the WiFi were acknowledged. Disappointing to say the least. ##### Elizabeth A. We had good communication from the Mgmt company. Plenty of towels, beds slept okay. Could not get TV to work initially until we figured out the Roku remotes were switched between living room and one of the bedrooms. Kitchen supplies were sparse, such as only 2 dinner plates and 3 coffee cups! The place could use a really good deep clean. Especially the tub (slow drain, probably due to hair clog) and shower floor (mold). Maybe suggest cleaning crew spray tub and shower with Clorox cleaner after EVERY rental. All 4 bar stools white upholstery are dirty. Easy to navigate to any local attraction. Very clean like the photos.However, there is an issue with the HVAC system which we communicated to the host soon after arrival, and again a few days later. The system may have mildew or mold in the ductwork. There was a distinctive smell when running the air and it caused sore throats in 3 out of 4 of us. The host said it was due to not being used and that there had been rain recently. They did not send anyone out to inspect or test for mold while we were there. Admittedly, it was the week of Christmas. Thankfully we had a few days of cooler temps and low humidity so we could open some windows. There are no screens on any window, so that’s not ideal. We live in SC and have experienced our own mold issues in the past. It’s not healthy.Our sons said the beds in the 2nd bedroom were extremely hard, so different mattresses may be in order.We cooked several meals including Christmas dinner in the unit and found the kitchen to be well-supplied. The hosts also provided plenty of toilet tissue, paper towels and trash bags for our stay. If the air conditioning system hadn’t smelled bad, this would have been an AMAZING stay. ##### Terri B. If you are looking for low cost, safe, clean vacation housing near the beach this place is certainly fine. Areas for improvement: Single ceiling fan in the dining area has no remote. I had to get on a chair to turn on the fan, and it makes a terrible humming noise. Bed in the master bedroom is worn. Sunken and needs to be replaced. No exhaust fan in either of the two bathrooms, or kitchen Vertical blinds have vanes missing. Living room doesn’t have a single lamp in it - neither table nor floor. Couch is impractical to sit on. Oddly deep cushions that are very uncomfortable. Apparently it converts to bedding. No towel racks in either bathroom. Indeed a hook over the door is provided. If you use just one faucet at a time the hot water is fine, but if you try using two faucets (or faucet +washer/ dishwasher) at the same time the water gets lukewarm at best. Her father is a retired Chef and she asked if he would please come to Florida where she lives with her partner and prepare a birthday dinner for her. My husband loved the gourmet kitchen!! We were very impressed with how clean and comfortable everything was…we did have a bit of confusion when we first arrived concerning the keyless lock…we were at the wrong door but after contacting Mr. Newman, he assisted us and we loved it at first sight!!! The GFI was "tripped" for the entire kitchen lighting and we did not figure it out until the day we left. That was minor. The big miss was your pool area. It had everything we needed- plenty of towels, linens, beach chairs (which was a huge plus) and plenty of supplies such as trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels. The location was perfect- only a few minute walk to the beach and close to restaurants and stores. The communication with the property managers was easy and they were always quick to respond. The only things that were an inconvenience is that in the master bathroom shower, it only has a half glass wall on the side, so every time you showered the bathroom floor would get soaked. Even with angling the shower head down and towards the opposite wall, it would still get covered in water. Another thing was that I wish we were able to open the windows to get fresh air through the condo. None of the windows have screens and there's no slider to the outside, so there's no way to get fresh air which would have been nice. Finally, I wish there was a chest of drawers in the second bedroom, or at least in the closet. Our 2 small children were in that bedroom and I didn't have anywhere to put their clothes. They are too small to hang up so I basically had to just either keep them in the suitcase, or pile them in the chair in the closet. I do have to say that the closets are huge though so that was a plus. Overall we had a great stay at this condo and would highly recommend it! ##### Kristin N. The unit is one of only 4 condos in the building. This unit is on the ground floor with parking right out front. Signs indicate that there are 24-hour surveillance cameras. We accessed the condo via a digital keypad, which was much easier than carrying a key around. The kitchen is small but was fine for our needs. I recommend that the property owner buy a 1,200 watt microwave- the 900 watt microwave barely warmed my cup of coffee. I also recommend providing some bigger coffee mugs - I could only brew 10 oz coffee with the Keurig. There are some spices and sweetener packets. You need to buy your own coffee and condiments. (Trader Joe’s, a few miles south on the way to Lauderdale, is much more reasonable than Publix.) Both bedrooms are sizable, with large walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms. I would suggest brighter bulbs in the lamps in both bedrooms. It would also be helpful to put a chest of drawers in the closet of the bedroom with 2 beds. Both bedrooms were very quiet, and the beds were comfortable. There is a small pool on the side of the complex. There are 3-4 beach chairs in the laundry room. It’s an easy 5 minute walk to the beach and 20 minutes walk to the Pompano Beach pier and multiple restaurants. We enjoyed our rental very much! ##### Marlene R. Our concern was that there was no internet for our 6 day stay other than 2 hours one evening. This meant no internet TV either. We messaged the company and they were quick to respond with promises to send a technician out or stated their was a technician scheduled for that day but no one showed up and the issue was never fixed. This condo is managed by a property management company and I messaged with 5 different people during our stay and had to tell each one the story again an again with nothing but empty promises. Obviously this was a damper on our vacation. I asked for restitution for them not living up to listed utilities and services but they have not responded. Nice place but be aware if something goes wrong you might not get any help from the management company. ##### Russ A. This is a well-appointed, very clean unit in a quiet neighborhood. For example, they stocked both a keurig and drip coffee maker (we prefer drip). Lots of space and very comfortable. Walking-distance to all amenities and/or short drive to grocery stores, etc. Comfy bed in the master bedroom was nice. We did not use the pool so no comment on that specifically. We had a minor issue with check in noting that the provided entry code did not work upon arrival.
