the view was outstanding, however the room was so dirty and outdated to be called a resort, please read reviews from other guests, I will confirm and will never stay here again, very disappointing plus absolutely no housekeeping which was suppose to happen every day.

Overall pretty good. Some things are dated and touch ups are needed to bring it to that next level. It was clean and comfortable and we had no issues with anything and that is was all we were looking for. Beach across the road was great and very easy to get to. No complaints.

This place was AMAZING! The whole facility was very clean, the rooms, lobby, pool, hot tub. Our view from the room was fantastic everyday we saw either dolphins, manatees, and sting rays! We will definitely be back again.

It was my second time at the resort- First time was awesome now it was just okay. When we walked in a smell from cigarettes hits me - We opened the door - We want to warm up some food and the dishes in the dishwasher were not clean- old eggs etc were stuck on the dishes. I had to go to the front desk and get some dish soap- It was not great start of our vacation.

I liked the location, atmosphere, quiet, and clean. I did not like that the blinds in our unit had missing slats, the bed squeaked, jacuzzi did not work, and no smoking area.

The property in which we stayed was not clean, I was under the impression that it was NOT pet friendly, however, I had allergy issues shortly after arrival and we found pet food pieces under the ottoman. There was hair all along the wall on the floor of the toilet room, on the shelf of the shower, and in the tub. The sliding door was a struggle to open, there was no coffee at the restaurant and was told it was at the resort, however, it was 9:00 am and no coffee, it was being made and then the second day, there was none at all. The communication was great leading up to the trip and how to navigate getting into the room. There was ample handicap parking available. Most of the time there was noone available at the desk to ask questions. Hot tub and pool were nice.

The location by Lover's Key State Park was very nice and there was plenty of parking. We could see dolphins from our deck every day -- unfortunately, the gnats were TERRIBLE. Even on the 5th floor we couldn't sit out in the evenings which was a shame because the view was lovely and we were on the east side of the building where it was shady for the hot weather in the afternoons and evening. There is no beach for this property other than a small stretch of sand in the bay which mostly disappeared during high tide. Still, we found some shells (and more gnats) there. Lover's Key State Park can be accessed by foot or by car, but the parking lots gets busy later in the day. The room itself was nice although the blinds needed repairing (missing several slats) and the kitchen was furnished very sparsely. There are washers and dryers on the first floor -- $2.25 each payable with a credit card. There were four of us in our party -- if you are planning on using the sleeper sofa, be aware that it is VERY uncomfortable. We ended up putting the thin mattress on the floor instead since the sofa bed frame sagged so terribly. There is a front desk at the property, but be aware that some of the rooms, like ours, are not part of "their" property so we couldn't get anything for the room such as an extra roll of toilet paper. We were told that our room was "not one of theirs." There is a restaurant next door with seating outside on the bay -- prices are a little high, but the food was good.

Great location with superb view of surrounding area. Cleanliness/maintenance has a lot to desire including desperate air filters totally covered in under dust debris. I would also like to advice any future travelers to obtain the property parking permit. Florida is notorious on towing the cars away for ransom.

The view from the balcony was great. The ammenties such as the pool was the kids favorite. Location and parking were also a perk. The issue we had was with the room, we were unaware it was a private rental so any problems we had the front desk was unable to resolve such as roaches in the kitchen area of our room, running out of toilet paper and trash bags. We were unable to use the kitchen due to the roaches which we would have booked merely a room for the family instead of one with a kitchen.

Lovers Key Resort

Lovers Key is a great place. Unit had a few beach towels as the resort would not let us use theirs as this was a private unit. Bed and sofa bed could have been updated and more comfortable.

Pros- located right on the water, beautiful views, large balcony with doors off of bedroom and also living room, nice pool with lounge chairs available, ice maker in freezer, keyless entry is awesome Cons-odd bathroom layout with toilet just inside the (pocket) door, shower door opens inward so water goes outside the door when you get in Suggestion- having beach chairs available would be nice. We also got a basic cooler from 7-eleven to use at the pool and the beach. Plastic cups for pool area would be nice.
