"We stayed in Kenya (Nairobi, Mombasa, Diani Beach-2 hotels) for over 2 weeks and this is by far the highlight of our trip! We will definitely be back sometime over the next few months. The location, the ambiance, the designs, the rooms, the cleanliness, the beach, the location of the beach which is an open beach a few meters away from a social game and sports area, the food and again the food, the service and most importantly, the PEOPLE made this one of the best stays we’ve ever had. There are many restaurants in Diani but the food was so good that we would just keep coming back (sometimes after our first restaurant reservation elsewhere). The people there were fabulous (especially Stalix, Ibrahim and the managers are all dedicated to service you). Thank you we will be back!"

"This Hotel certainly has its positive points. It is beautiful, well located, and has some magical attractions, such as a huge and ancient Boabab tree on the property. That being said, although it has good bones, it suffers from poor service and lack of maintenance. Staff is not well trained. I came to my room being left wide open all day by housekeeping, even after having reported a faulty latch, which was never fixed. I found ripped paintings in rooms, sick cats on the property who are in desperate need of veterinary help. Food is bland and not diverse. Lots of flies around. Staff do not know what of the food is vegetarian and what is not. Beach is horrible. You cannot step our without 5 or 6 vendors following you. They are beyond persitant. They will in fact peer into the hotel itself and try to sell you a coconut, or a boat, or a ride, while you are at the pool. It is not restful and very invasive. If you want a beach getaway, get away from this place. The beachboys will stalk you and will follow you and will watch you. Very creepy. There is extremely loud music from the hotel itself at night. Badly mixed, and with loud base. If you want to have a good nights rest, you might want to stay elsewhere. Basic etiquette among staff is lacking. I asked for a kettle in my room, and I was told if I booked a more expensive room, I might have got one. A very unnecessary comment to make, where a simple no, would have done the job. Overall: Not even a last resort."

"If you want to get away from it all, walk on an almost deserted world-class beach and come back to a fabulous meal including fresh fish purchased from a visiting fisherman, and get lulled to sleep by waves crashing on the reef then look no further than Villa Chui. If you want to walk to coffee shops, restaurants, shops and supermarkets then head to Diani. Villa Chui sits at the eastern end of a large fenced lot which includes at the western end, a smaller building sued by the maid and night-time security. Villa Chui presents in what I think of as African farmhouse with locally made furniture. Soft furnishings are clearly African and to my taste subtle. The ground floor provides a kitchen, living/TV area, indoor and outdoor dining. On the second floor are three bedrooms, one has a bathroom attached and the other two share a Jack and Jill bathroom. There is a west-facing outdoor seating area that is perfect for soaking up the early morning sun. A staircase leads to a rooftop patio that has covered seating and a covered table. Close to the villa is a small unheated swimming pool and steps leading to a track that runs parallel with the beach for a few hundred meters before providing beach access. You can also access the beach by walking towards the village and then turning down towards a primary school that is full of the cutest kids. The village itself reflects its rural location and to be honest has little in the way of interest. The msambweni beach is world-class, offering"

"Way too many flying insects on, yes, on the food. Flies at the dessert stations...flies at the tables when eating. Hot tubs are accessible only when purchasing spa services. And the hot tubs were tiny, fits 2 only. I did not feel comfortable using the beach, too many unknowns approaching you. Insect, fruit flies in the rooms. Light switches are confusing."

"We had a fantastic time at Lantana Galu beach. The staff were amazing, helpful and warm. Our Villa was super clean, spacious and private. We loved relaxing on the veranda or inside. The beach was serene, not busy and the ocean water spectacular. My son enjoyed the pool daily as well. We loved the food, room service was also a great convenience. Taxi pickup and for getting around Diani was also great. A big thank you to all the hotel. We will definitely be back ! "
