“This is a small historic hotel. We chose it for location, since we were driving through Virginia on 81. The staff is friendly; the rooms are clean and comfortable. We enjoyed it enough we'll stop there again on our way back home ”

“First of all the picture of the facility is NOTHING like the check-in area or any other place in the building. I was disappointed with the accommodations...they were marginally adequate. The desk staff was helpful and courteous which was a big plus.”

Good hot water in bathroom and fast EV charging onsite. Very rare to find such a well kept hotel at a fairly remote interstate exit. Was kind of run like more of a bed and breakfast, with nice personal touches.”

“The night staff at the desk was the absolute worst I have ever encountered at any hotel. She was rude, condescending, not helpful and just plain mean. She could not have been more annoyed to be doing her job. She was cursing under her breath about another guest while checking us in. Apparently other guests had similar experiences by the conversations overheard in the elevator. This person should not have been interacting with guests. Highway traffic was very loud. Bathroom was tiny without a……

“This was a sirprise gem. It's in quite a busy area, with a number of stores and restaurants close by, and near 81, but going up to the motel is like going into another world. It's a lovely pastoral scene with a view of the distant mountains, and so quiet! In the next room was an occasionally screaming toddler but I wouldn't have known if his mother hadn't told me. I couldn't hear a thing. The room itself was basic but comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again.”
