Bathrooms could be better. Pods were nice but on the second floor they can get really hot and humid. I was there for 6 nights and people that stay there for a while can be quite weird. Nothing to do with the location or the staff! People that work there are all amazing :)

Great location, overall it was a nice place to stay. We had a private apartment style room for our group of 5. The hostel hallways and common areas smelled like old rug and cigarettes. The staff was friendly. The hostel could really benefit from a small fitness area. This place is a good option if you are traveling on a budget.

Staff is kind. Bunk beds and the rooms always clean. The hostel is the perfect spot near everything, especially since it’s near that train or bus station that walkable distance to travel back to the airport or go explore the rest of Scotland. But since it’s in Merchant City, it can get noisy at night with people hanging around the local bars talking snd yelling loudly. But the stay provide earplugs in the room which is nice,

The whole first floor where we stayed smelled like mildew and cigarette smoke. There were broken showers, and the showers that weren’t broken had intermittent hot water… you didn’t know if you would have hot water for your shower, and if you did, it would sometimes run out part way through and leave you finishing cold. The bathrooms also regularly had no toilet paper.

Female only dorm room was as pictured and generally fine. All bathrooms need a small bench or furniture to put belongings on though. There's entirely no space and putting your things on the floor is not ideal. Seems people not staying in the hostel can stay in the lounge/bar overnight. Saw lots of older men hanging there. That's really no issue if it's open to the public. However, upon check out the following morning, I saw four men asleep on the chairs, bean bags and booth. Overall, that lounge area smelled bad and could do with a regular clean.
