“A beautiful pub with stacks of character!! Cosy and inviting. Food was excellent, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Locals also welcoming. The area is so picturesque it was a real treat. Would definitely return and planning to try out Sunday lunch sometime in winter to take advantage of the open fireplace.
Miniscule gripe was it would be nice to have some nicer bread at breakfast rather than bog standard e.g. sourdough. But that is not a show stopper!!
Definitely recommend, but be aware……
“We stayed up on the first floor. Lovely old building with creaky stairs. Rooms were well equipped and comfortable. Bit of an issue with the water pipes which were very noisy (sounded like air in pipes). Had fans in rooms which were needed. Great choices for a cooked breakfast, which was cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.”
