This was an awesome stay with a good buffet breakfast with eggs every morning -- both hard boiled and either scrambled or omelettes. The only thing that would have made my stay better would be if the hot tub was functional... That was my only disappointment. The location of this hotel is awesome for visiting military parks.

Very convenient location, very good breakfast with excellent coffee, and the staff were kind and friendly. My only complaint is that the elevator needs work. It really made us uneasy, so we took the steps alot. We were on the 3rd floor.

Our stay was overall pleasant, but the hotel was not quite as pictured online. It looks like the property has had some upgrades, which we appreciated, but there are still quite a few areas that could use some attention and updating. The front desk staff was very kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, which was definitely a positive. The breakfast was also good and offered a nice variety. Overall, the hotel was okay for our stay, but it left a little to be desired compared to what we expected from the photos. With some additional updates and attention to the property, I think it could be a much nicer.

I stayed overnight while traveling from OH to VA. Check in was easy and the guy behind the desk was really nice and friendly. My only complaint is the beds. They are way too soft. If you need a firm mattress to sleep on, this is not the place for you. Breakfast was good.

The staff here is very nice and helpful. The breakfast good and well maintained. The pool water was cold and the hot tub out of order. My room door was a pain. You had to slam your shoulder into it to open and every day needed a new key.

The room and hotel were clean. Staff were helpful. Unfortunately we had to cancel our reservation due to the musty mildew smell. We changed rooms x2 without improvement. The hotel staff were unable to refund our reservation fee due to less than 24 hour notice. If we had known the unpleasant scent we would have canceled within the time frame required.

The rooms were really nice, and clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable! Only thing that happened was there was a bug in my bed. Not a bed bug! I told them about it because I thought it was a roach. They staff was prompt and apologized profusely. They said it was a field bug and they have issues with them frequently because the hotel is in such a rural area. Other than that it was a great stay! I’ll be going back for sure!

We stay at Holiday Inn Express as they are usually updated, well maintained, and the beds comfy. This hotel should not qualify for a Holiday Inn Express as it is not well maintained, and certainly not what we expected of this chain. The A/C in the lobby was a window unit, and it could not accommodate the size of the area. The room had Rid humidity bags that were full due to the A/C turned off. The walls in the hallway and room were highly scuffed and needed painting. The patio had pizza boxes and other trash strewn about at 9:00 am. The coffee always good, but breakfast not up to the standards. Definitely not the same as the other Holiday Inn Expresses that we have stayed in, and we will not stay again.
