“The garden area felt like a little slice of paradise with bunnies running around freely helping to maintain the grass - as well as donkeys. Monkeys were climbing in the trees, and occasionally a large turtle would cross the lawn. The place itself was very calming and the staff sweet and helpful.”

“Staff was always helpful and would go out of their way to help. The room was just as advertised and the ground were well kept. The pool was nice and the food was delicious.”

“I loved the staff so friendly. Manager helped me with a cheaper route to the waterfall. Location wasn't the best as I need a ride to get anywhere but at least rides are cheap. Just be careful of not getting a agreed price before you go anywhere. As it will start at 2k and jump to 10k for little to no reason....the pool was very clean. And rooms were very nice. Asked for a air-conditioning...same day they INSTALLED it!!! Food was good. Really really loved the staff. Soo kind and some even knew……

“The rooms have European standards, and the hotel is small and intimate. A real gem! Highly recommended! Good security, on site parking for free. The rooms are spacious and clean, but of course; this is Tanzania, so hot water and wifi might not be top notch at all times, so don't rely on the wifi for work for example. Benson at the reception was very helpful, and works as a concierge if you need to. Don't think twice - book this one, I'll book it for my next trip to Moshi for sure! ”

“El personal que trabaja ahí es lo mejor del lugar, siempre dispuestos a ayudar, sobre todo Borealis. Está ubicado a las afueras de Moshi pero por 3000 tshilling tienes un bajaji que te lleva al centro en 10 minutos. Por otra parte, el restaurante del hotel tiene sólo un puñado de platos y bastante caro. Nuestra habitacion era bastante pequeña (la más pequeña de todas) y hacia bastante calor, incluso con el ventilador a tope. No puedes abrir las ventanas porque hay muchos mosquitos.... ”

“I stayed at Kaliwa Lodge for 4 nights and was impressed by the tranquil and peaceful environment. The terrace is a great place to watch the sacred Mountain Kilimanjaro at different times of the day, and be connected to the nature. I brought along my yoga mat to practise on the terrace every morning. Food is great too, they prepared wonderful vegetarian food for me on request everyday. Staff is very nice and treat every guest with their heart. I really enjoyed staying at Kaliwa Lodge. ”
