“Very nice, comfortable, quiet house near Volcanos National Park. Very well stocked kitchen. Bedrooms nice and worked well for our family with 2 small kids. Love spot at the end of the road in the woods - gorgeous flowers.The hot tub would have been nice, but had been too heavily chlorinated and the chemical smell was so strong, we were unable to use it.”

“The Volcano Rainforest Estate & Lodge was perfect for our Volcano getaway. It’s a beautiful, well built home on a gorgeous property. “Beautiful home and beautiful views! The "backyard" was full of yellow tangs, the resident turtle, and spinner Dolphins almost every morning. Snorkeling out back was challenging with a hurricane in the Pacific (waves were very kicked up, the surfers loved it), but we did get out the last few days and it was amazing. “This home was even nicer than it appeared in the listing photos. The decks are enormous and provide an ocean view as well as a hillside view. This house is the last house on the road so the view across the hillside is unobstructed. The neighborhood beach is across the street and we never saw more than 3 or 4 people on it. The water was calm during our stay so we snorkeled and found some great coral, turtles and fish. It was wonderful.The kitchen is the best stocked of any VRBO we’ve stayed in……

“Easily the best VRBO experience we've ever had. The property is super clean and well equipped; the rate is reasonable for Hawaii and less than 10 minutes from shopping in Kona. Steve, the host, could not have been more gracious and helpful.The grounds are like something out of a botanical garden, with a view of the ocean beyond Kona and spectacular sunsets. “What a wonderful jungle escape! We had a great time at the rainforest cottage! Everything we needed was there! It is so secluded and the outdoor shower is unbelievable! Everything was clean and neatly organized and we felt right at home. We so enjoyed Mango the cat. He is so sweet and lovable, and just a joy to be around. “This property was perfect for our stay! It was clean and quite spacious and came equipped with everything we needed. The location is great, right next to the King and Queen's shopping centers, so you could walk to the store or to grab quick bite. Also just 10 or so minutes from the best beaches on the island. The unit had almost all of the beach necessities you need, except for a beach umbrella, so plan accordingly. The beautiful community pool is a big plus if you are traveling with kids! ”

The only thing I can say that was misleading was the references to proximity to locations in Kailua- Kona in the listing. It turns out we much preferred it’s true location up the hill away from the bustle of town. It was so beautiful. I am glad it was not a short walk to Taco Bell as stated in the listing.”
