“I loved staying at Maggie’s studio in Hilo. It was really clean and spacious. There were plenty of parking and I like the usage of having a kitchen and the convenience of a washer and dryer. I would come back and stay here again the next time I’m back at the big island. ”

“This place is a great - hosts are amazing people. They are intelligent, passionate, flexible, and friendly. Sunsrise view is great. Incredibly safe environment. You really feel like you have a degree of quiet separation from the bustle of Hilo that is only a short drive away. So best of both worlds. The tradeoff is that the village access does require a short drive on unpaved roads. So prepare mentally that this is a slightly more secluded location. You get a simple but thoughtfully……

“This is the second time we stayed at this property. Karla is a wonderful and responsive host. Eating breakfast on the lanai was a great way to start the day. The property is the perfect size a for a couple. The kitchen has everything you need. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else on the Hilo side of the island.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this condo. It's in a very quiet location but close enough to the waterfront and park that we could easily walk. The condo is nice and spacious and homey. The beds were super comfortable and the AC worked great. The building is older so it had that great 60s vibe that you hardly ever see anymore. Felt very much like home in Hawaii!”

“Pros: Property was clean and smelled good as soon as you walk in. Big property, nice parking, quiet area, good location near major attractions. Cons: No sink in the kitchen. Especially annoyed that they ask for you to clean all the dishes before you leave. I don’t know what they’re thinking. Bathrooms are on the smaller side, and each bathroom has the smallest sink you’ll ever see, which would not have been a major problem if they did not ask you to clean the dishes in them. The shower pressure was a bit low, and the property itself looked a little sketchy at first glance, but don't let that deter you. “Great location and well stocked quirky and old-school funky apartment! Loved it, and was a perfect base for the three of us for a week in Hilo! Not a fancy place, but had everything we needed and was well stocked and had nice touches like a lot of plugs around! Nice and helpful host, too! Would stay again on a return trip!”
