"Wild, Wonderful and Almost Heaven. The WVA tourism board must have been thinking of this property.Evan was exceptionally responsive to any question right from the start and there were no surprises (okay the fishing right infront of the house was even better than Evan advertised so there was one surprise)Check in was exceedingly simple. The house was very clean and well maintained. If you are looking for something in the middle of everything this is not for you. If you are looking a quiet place with fantastic river views and no neighbors (I was able to see 1 house from the porch but it was almost a half mile away on the other side of the river and I had to use binoculars) in one of America's Best Kept Secrets National parks this is exactly the place for you."

"Loved it! The Guesthouse is like staying at a friend’s house. Very comfortable relaxing lodging experience. Different than staying in a regular hotel. A little more money but well worth it! I will probably stay there again when I’m in the area. Highly recommend the Guesthouse if you want your stay to be part of the experience!"

"You'll be talking about the front porch if you stay here during the spring, summer, or fall (maybe winter, too!). It was awesome to have breakfast, lunch, and dinner outside, even when the dew was still set or a downpour was ongoing. Breakfast with bunnies, and dinner with deer. Plenty of song birds serenading us throughout the day (and even some great horned owls at night). Lots of common spaces for various concurrent activities as we wound down each day.We used our stay at the house as a jumping-off place for many adventures on and around New River -- hikes, "walks", zip lines, biking, and rafting. It is not super-close to the northern areas of the park (zip lines, biking, and rafting), but with just a scenic drive over the mountain, we got to Fayetteville easily. We also had many activities within 20 a minute drive.The kitchen is easy to use, and we had just about everything we needed to cook meals each night.We found the downstairs bathroom to be a bit congested in our multi-family get-together. However, we expected that it would be congested, as it is apparent we were staying in what was a single-family home; not a big deal. As is the case for any single-family home being used as a vacation rental that I've ever stayed in, there are not enough towel bars. Unlike towel bars, we had plenty of place settings and places to sit (at least outside) for everyone.Host was easy to communicate with and genuine. You really are staying in someone else's home here!"

"We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this property in Hinton.The surrounding neighborhood was older, but interesting. If you bring a dog and take it walking, beware that there are some big menacing dogs behind some inadequate fencing in the area (not talking about the ones right across the street).We stayed in an upstairs unit. It was so cute, and perfect for a couple. The decor was appealing, it was clean, and had everything you need - cute kitchen with a double hot plate, drip coffee maker, microwave, small refrigerator with a freezer, and a pretty sink. The bathroom had a walk in shower with a rain type shower head and good water pressure. There was a hair dryer furnished that I appreciated, as I forgot to bring one. The Queen bed was very comfortable and had a semi firm mattress. Large tv on the wall, and a small desk and chair. The only thing lacking was a luggage rack for my suitcase, but I used the desk chair. There’s a nice screened in porch with 2 chairs and a table to sit out on and enjoy the birds.It has a slight slant to the floor, but that didn’t affect anything. The railings are close together and the screen covers the spaces in between so it’s safe for pets and children.I would suggest they put up a solid divider between the balcony next door so there’s more privacy, though.There are steep indoor steps going up to the upstairs unit (they put up a much needed bannister while we were there), so keep that in mind if you have limited mobility. Secure locks on the doors."
