Crown Hotel Harrogate

"Imani the receptionist was incredibly helpful, especially answering all the questions my Partner Val and myself had. She had a wonderful smiling welcome appearance. We upgraded our room to a Suite which suited us both very well. The breakfasts for the 3 days was some of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in an hotel. (excellent). We enjoyed a leisurely drink in the bar before we sat down to eat our excellent evening meal. I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years with my work, I regard the Crown at the top of my list. We aim to go back early next year for another much anticipated stay. Well done all the staff at the Crown Hotel Harrogate. Regards Barry & Val."

"Excellent stay at Crown Plaza in Harrogate. The location is good and it is within walking distance distance of the town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was excellent with good choice , tasty food and brilliant service. Loved the breakfast buffet. Will definitely return."

"The hotel and the hotel staff were excellent. It was a really nice touch to be welcomed in reception with a cold drink on one of the hottest days the UK has seen. The hotel is in an ideal central location close to the railway station, shop and restaurants. The room was good everything working perfectly, really good big screen tv for the football My review would have scored the hotel much, much higher but my problem was the Gino D'Acampo restaurant attached to the hotel, this guy is supposed to be a top notch chef, he needs to do more than just put his name to an expensive restaurant. The food was dreadful: bland arancini with a back ground taste of cleaning fluid, carbonara pasta with curdled eggs, tomato and mozzarella salad with poor acidic tomatoes. Slow off hand service from the staff. On complaining about the food and the service, we were eventually given a reduction in the bill but honestly if a customer complains about the food and you don't even ask what was wrong with it! The Marriott need to part company with this restaurant."

"Really enjoyed our stay here. I was a bit nervous when I realised the England match on but it was so quiet - I managed to get to sleep at half time! Comfy and quiet; spacious room and bathroom; a fridge in the room; amazing location just few minutes from the city centre. We parked under the tunnels opposite as the hotel's main car park was full. The only complaint was that I was excited to use the Sky Lounge on the top floor but we looked at the menu and left as it was a bit of an anti climax when it came to atmosphere. We went to the little Italian right outside!"
