Just Book It!

Our stay at Surf’s Up was unreal! The location and views were second to none and it was literally the cleanest beach house ever. It being only a few steps to the beach was especially convenient for my 79 year old mother-in-law. When we weren’t on the beach, we enjoyed sitting on the deck where we could watch the sunrise, dolphins and pelicans. The location of the outdoor shower made it easy to keep the house clean. The owner, Becky, is welcoming and makes herself available to you should you have questions or need anything. This was our first time visiting Topsail Island so we asked her for recommendations ahead of time - her list of restaurants and the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation Center did not disappoint. If you’re looking to stay at the cleanest oceanfront home on Topsail Island that will accommodate 6 people, look no further…just book it!

Great place!

This was a wonderful place to stay. I would definitely rent again. The only thing I would like to see is more of the tall chairs with backs on the deck for enjoying the beautiful view and conversation.

We had a great time staying at Surf’s Up. Our family spent the week at the beach and we lived the house and location. You are 100 steps to the water! The house was perfect for our family of 5 adults. Very clean and communication with the host was excellent!

Just what we needed!

Surf’s Up is the perfect beach cottage to walk right out on the beach to relax, fish, whatever you want to do. We really appreciated how clean and well stocked the house is. We hope to return soon!

Just steps to the beautiful sand of North Topsail Beach, Surfs Up was the perfect spot close to Surf City. A tranquil oasis perfect for a relaxing break from the daily grind. Becky was accessible and accommodating. Everything you need upon arrival. It was a peaceful and pleasant week. We will visit again.

Cozy Paradise!

This was our 3rd time staying at Surf's Up! This is wonderful oceanfront home with all the amenities that my husband & I needed and wanted! Spent most of our days sitting on the Captain chairs on the deck being hypnotized watching and listening to the ocean waves. Becky made sure that everything was okay and made sure that we felt free to contact her if anything needed to be attended to. Hoping to visit again next year!

Amazing View

Perfect location charming beach house, what else could you ask for? House is updated and tastefully decorated it is equipped with everything you need for your stay. The bed and pillows are heavenly adding to a great stay. The owner is super communicative making the check in seamless. This is the second time we have stayed here and plan to return next year when we are in the area.

Weekend Getaway

Great family beach getaway

We rented this property for our children and 2 grandchildren to have abit of sun and fun in late February. Weather cooperated and they were able to spend time on the beach which was just a few feet away. The moon rise inspired the grandkids and we all captured amazing photos. The house was immaculate and equiped with everything needed. So clean! They loved their 1st visit to NC and Surf's Up is now on our A list for company.

Our Happy Place!

It's hard to put into words the magic that is Surf's Up for our small family. We return multiple times a year and have now lost count of our number of stays at this special place. Becky and her family take immaculate care of the home, and we always find it sparkling clean with new updates that keep it up to date but retain the charm of an old school cottage right on the beach. Rave-Worthy Retreat

Surf's Up has become the sanctuary to which we retreat to re-connect as a family, and this trip was just that! This cottage is ideal for us to enjoy the ocean view as we read, cook, play board/card games, and do jigsaw puzzles. And the beach during the wintertime is its own special experience as we strolled the shore, watched pelicans & sandpipers, spotted dolphins. A home that is just as magical in the winter as it is in the summer - until next time!

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful week at "Surf's Up". Everything was as described online. A fully stocked kitchen was very appreciated especially when you are having thanksgiving dinner. Decorated very nice and even had the same turtle cabinet knobs that I have at home. Very relaxing place, great porch where you just step out onto the sand. We would definitely come back!!

Being right on the beach in a house that is a stand-alone doesn't get better. The house is just so cute and perfectly decorated. The deck is a nice size and wraps around from the back to the side of the house. Best sleeping beds ever. Usually we can't wait to get back to our bed. In this case, we wish we were back in the bed at Surf's Up. The air conditioning is phenomenal. It kept the place extremely comfortable while the thermostat was set at 76. That's remarkable! Becky is GREAT!!! If you have a question about anything, she's there for you. This is truly a home-away-from-home except with the luxury of the ocean as your backyard.

Paradise at Topsail

Property is as described. Pictures are an accurate portrayal of property. You can't beat the location nor can you get any closer to the ocean. Becky is extremely responsive and takes pride in her rental property. She responds quickly and each year as we return we are greeted by new and pleasant upgrades. This year the kitchen was nicely upgraded along with a new HVAC system and grill. We have been in prior years and will return again in July. We don't even enjoy dining out as the atmosphere be it on the deck or in the dining room is lovely and again - you can't beat the views!

Surfs Up - A Super place to stay while at the beach.

This home in Top Sail is the perfect small family beach bungalow. The home is right on the beach. When you arrive, you step up on to the decking of the home and the first thing you realize is the back decking is over the sand dunes of the beach and you step down from the deck on to the beach! Each cool spring morning of our stay we sat outside on the deck in the high-top chairs and watched the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee completely engulfed in the beauty of the beach. During the morning hours I worked from the deck (Wi-Fi was awesome and no issues at the house and my staff was so jealous as I hosted my staff meeting from the deck with the ocean as my backdrop) or we just enjoyed the beach view all day long from the deck or had our mid-day meals on the decks built in breakfast bar. The home was clean and came with towels, bedding, some hand and dishwashing soaps, and dish cleaning supplies which was so nice have upon your arrival. The kitchen had just been refinished beautifully. It was fully stocked which made making meals at the home easy. We enjoy eating at home, so this was an important feature of the house for us and really appreciated having a well-stocked kitchen. The living space was wide open and looked out to the ocean. The entire back portion of the house was large open windows and sliding glass doors. You could spend the whole day inside but think that you were up on the beach. What great views. In the evening, the large dining table made for great dining and a game table for our evenings of board games and cards. There was a very nice sized TV in the living area and the couch and love seat were comfortable and sat 4 of us easily. We loved the wooded floors throughout the house. It was easy cleaning, and we loved the feel of the hardwood on our feet much better than carpet and the cold hard tiles of other homes we have stayed at. In the three bedrooms the beds were comfortable and the right mix for our family. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Especially liked the large spacious shower in the king bedroom. The built-in bench in this shower made it easier for older parents to use this bathroom. A well maintained and managed home. The owners were great and very communicative and checking in with us to be sure our stay was going well. We look forward to staying here again.
