After driving 16 hours on a long road trip, we arrived around 3am expecting to check in, since the motel clearly advertises a 24-hour front desk and check-in availability after 4pm. Unfortunately, that was not the case. There was no one available at the front desk, no way to check in, and no communication whatsoever from the property. We were completely exhausted and left stranded in the middle of the night with a valid reservation. Because of this, we had no choice but to get back on the road and continue driving through the night, turning what should have been a 16-hour trip into nearly 24 hours. It was unsafe, stressful, and entirely avoidable. If a property is going to advertise a 24-hour front desk, they need to honor that commitment. At the very least, they should clearly communicate any restrictions on late-night arrivals, as many other hotels do. This level of unreliability is unacceptable, especially for travelers depending on a place to rest. Also, Expedia did not give us a refund saying that we were the ones who cancelled. Cherry on top!"
