Located in Bayberry Bluff in the heart of Duck Village, the location is right between the village and the ocean for convenience to everything you love in Duck! The house and pool are surrounded by trees giving you privacy, especially in the pool area. There is plenty of space around the pool deck and the covered patio for you to enjoy cooking out by the pool while the whole family relaxes and enjoys being outside. Inside the cute cottage feel is sure to please. Simply stated and tastefully appointed you will enjoy the large great room area big enough for everyone or the screened porch overlooking the private pool area. The ground level is KID ZONE with kid-friendly furnishings, finishes, and games. The charm of Duck Village awaits you when you are not at the ocean, by the pool, or relaxing at the house. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Pool was a wonderful addition and the basement play room was a hit for the grands. House is older but remodeled kitchen was fully stocked with open floor plan. The beach is very close in walking distance. The house was great, lots of space for the 9 of us. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The pool was refreshing. Only downside was we would have liked to have been able to park at the house prior to check-in in order to use the beach.. we got there at noon had lunch but then had to drive down to Corolla public beach access.. The rental company was easy to work with and were there to answer questions throughout. The house was spacious and had a good floor plan. Bonus game room in the basement was awesome!
