"Our stay was pleasant and we had a good time, the staff were awesome nice people, willing to serve and with a smile on their faces, always giving us solutions since the check in, security, bell boy, receptionist all of them were exceptional, really hard working people. The food is great, a lot variety and well cooked. The property itself needs more care, general maintenance of the buildings and shareable areas, like when you are exiting the lobby after your check in, there is at water wall that’s really dirty, and the entrance of main restaurant El Batey the water ways also are pretty dirty and needs to be clean it looks disgusting especially in the place where you eat most of your meals. The show at night was great really good performances, really good. In general we had a good time. And this is for the administration, this is an iconic place in DR and one of the first in Puerto Plata when the tourism industry started here many years ago, you should take more care of a place like this, and you are supposed to know what I’m talking about. "We planned a large party for our 20th wedding anniversary at this property, and the staff made it happen in style and without a hitch. Our group had 23 adults and 10 kids, and everyone had a terrific time. The layout of the property, with the pool in the center, a variety of different sizes of apartment units, the bar, the dining hut, etc., is perfect for socializing throughout the day. The pool is a perfect depth for kids, and the nearby beachfront is beautiful and free of the beach hawkers who you will find in other areas of the North Coast. The staff was terrific -- Cristina was a standout as our bartender, and Ben, Nina, and Roseanne helped us arrange outings and other requests. Anyone who has traveled to this part of the world before will know that it is less predictable than many places, and the staff helped smooth that over by responding quickly to all of our requests and making sure all transportation was arranged with reputable service providers. The rooms are all clean and recently updated, and many guests commented on how comfortable the beds are. All rooms have a spacious and luxurious feel. A/C worked great throughout. For food and drink, we opted for an all-inclusive deal and highly recommend doing that. The daily breakfast buffet was excellent, their all-day menu offered our guests lots of flexibility on daily plans since they could eat whenever they felt like it, and dinners were excellent. Particularly high marks for Indian, Dominican, & Surf & Turf."

"Super relaxing. Super fun. This is definitely a nice location ,if you did wanna bring your family with your kids you can. It’s about 25 minutes from the airport with traffic. Definitely close not too far from a big city, but not exactly where everything is super close, but there is a nice little private beach walking distance from this day and I think that is very great for people who are not interested in traveling the town, Nikki is super sweet, super attentive and is extremely helpful . it definitely is a little paradise away from all the chaotic that you may get from being at a resort for that I chose this place for me and my fiancé. We had a nice reasonable extremely accommodating stay while we adventured out for most of our days. The local security is also extremely nice. Everyone in the area is super welcoming. If you stay here, I would definitely recommend a vehicle just in case you need a late night drink or something you’re able to hit the stores earlier in the day. Awesome stay!"

With so many things to do in the area, it’s hard to leave. But when you come back, it’s your own slice of paradise. Anytime there was something that needed attention, Mario was on top of it.
