Beautiful, Breathtaking Wren Condo overlooking Toxaway Falls

The view from our beautiful 3 Bedroom 2 bath Condo will take your breath away! You will go out on the back deck of your 2nd floor condo where you will be overlooking Toxaway Falls, an AMAZING Waterfall that is 350 feet high and 60 feet across solid granite!

Each season offers unique reasons to come to the mountains. The beautiful mountain views are lush and green in Spring and Summer. Autumn’s spectacular foliage and Winter’s icy waterfalls provide breathtaking views.

The front porch is the perfect place to soak up early morning sun with your favorite book or newspaper. The back deck is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee, relax over lunch, enjoy a romantic dinner, or stargaze overlooking the waterfall and listening to the natural background music of nature!

The Wren offers a fully stocked kitchen and dining area that will comfortably sit 6 people and can accommodate 8. The comfortable living room furniture is nestled around the gas burning fireplace and big screen TV ( Internet & Direct TV provided) The master suite’s large window offers panoramic views of the waterfall and Gorges State Park! All towels and linens are high quality.

As we said, your imagination is the only limit for what you can experience in this area! Hiking, fishing, golfing, shopping, biking, swimming, horseback riding, and dining are all just a 9-iron away. The many rivers, streams, and lakes offer kayaking, tubing, & rafting. The Biltmore Estate and Winery in Asheville provides an amazing tour that will take you back in time. Asheville is also home to tons of craft breweries, live music, the Friday Eve Drum Circle, art studios and galleries, and unique shopping opportunities. Brevard and Cashiers are even closer and both offer fabulous shopping, art, and dining. Brevard Music Center offers evening concerts from May to the end of August. Cashiers also has outdoor live music in Summer. The thespians at The Historic Flat Rock Theatre provide wonderful evenings out. For a more local experience, head to the Lake Toxaway Community Center on Friday nights for western NC Bluegrass and a home-cooked meal to boot!

Transylvania County boasts 250 known waterfalls! Pisgah and Nantalahala National Forest are minutes away and there are many waterfalls and trails in each. Gorges State Park (10 minutes away) has waterfall trails that range from half a mile to 5+ miles. Just 20 minutes away, Whitewater Falls has a quarter mile paved path that gently rises to a spectacular view of the tallest waterfall east of The Rockies. You shouldn’t stop there, though! The stairs to the right lead down to a viewing platform whose view rivals any in the world.
These are the closest hiking opportunities, however, there are 247 more waterfalls to explore within an hour!

Shopping is minutes away in either direction. Within a tenth of a mile, there is a lovely market with staples, a good wine/beer selection, and local organic meat, produce, and dairy products. Next door to the Toxaway Market is a quaint, family-owned pizza place! Just across the street is a coffee/ice-cream/gift shop - something for EVERYONE! There’s a great Mexican restaurant at the top of our road!

If all this is not exciting enough, there’s a family of WHITE SQUIRRELS and a BEAR living in the neighborhood which leads to the fact that if you’re needing to just relax and recharge, the serene, picturesque environment of The Wren is perfect for that, too!

There is no other place like this little slice of heaven. You will come to the falls and fall in love!

The condo was just as described. Very clean. Beds were comfortable. The view of the falls from the back deck was absolutely amazing. FYI: Upon arrival you drive through the Mexican Restaurant to the right to access the condo. Highly recommend staying at the Wren. 4-6 people. We will definitely return!

Wonderful winter vacation spot
Spent a few days away with our adult (20s) children. This is a beautiful condo. Well decorated and appointed. The owners were quick to answer our questions. Lots of nice touches and stocked with everything we needed. I had read in a review that the entry road is through the Mexican restaurant parking lot. That was very helpful as it was dark and raining when we arrived. The waterfall out back is amazing! We also drove to see Whtewater Falls. Would love to return here again in the future.

Peaceful and beautiful stay!
Pictures are an accurate description. We loved our stay and enjoyed the many waterfalls and scenic byways. Listening to the waterfall was a peaceful way to start and end the day! Our only issue was having a little trouble finding the condo and parking can be a bit challenging for larger vehicles. Once we figured out that we needed to pull into entrance for Mexican restaurant to turn right and drive thru parking lot we were able to find narrow road that leads to condo unit driveway a short distance on the left (marked with a small sign). It is a bit tricky to find once it is dark and we were happy we first arrived when it was still daylight.

After an initial screw up on our check in, everything was great. Nice view! Beautifully furnished. Parking is a bit tight if you have a Pickup Truck. Nice hike down to the waterfall. Short walk up to a nice Mexican Restaurant and a wonderful florist. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary so having a florist within walking distance was a huge plus. The Graystone Inn & Spa and Lake Toxaway are a 10 minute drive and well worth a visit. We had a great time and would recommend booking with Nancy again.

Over the top. The waterfall in the backyard was amazing. Listening to the waterfall from the patio was very relaxing. Stocked kitchen was convenient. It is close to restaurants and clise to the beautiful Greystone Inn which has golf, tennis, fine dining, etc. Hiking in backyard was also convenient.

Overall a great experience. The living area is nice and cozy with beds that were very comfortable. Really nice location with a trail on the property leading right to Toxaway Falls. We loved the welcome basket with snacks because we arrived late and he kitchen was well stocked with anything you could need for cooking. The only minor complaint was that we couldn't get the Direct TV to work so we could watch the game. Great property and would definitely stay again!

Quick recharge with friends who lost a loved one this year

A perfect autumn getaway!
This place was absolutely perfect. We stayed based on the recommendation of a friend and they were spot on. Breathtaking views, idyllic setting, and incredibly convenient location - we were within minutes of multiple hikes/waterfalls, did a different one each day. Beds were comfy, kitchen was perfect for cooking, everyone we met was super nice, host was super helpful/accommodating, and the whole vibe was just ideal for a wonderful and relaxing week filled with beautiful fall weather. The condo was first class, as advertised. Excellent layout and terrific views. Great location in the mountains. Parking is limited and the circular drive takes a little experience to be comfortable. The roof was replaced during our stay, which took three days. We were given no advanced information that this would take place. The roofers seemed indifferent to blocking the driveway and they also seemed indifferent about some of the flying debris they created. No one was hit and no damage to cars. We would stay again, especially knowing the roof is new.

Deeply Disappointing
Upon arrival everything seemed idyllic. My in-laws (who are in their 80s) stayed at the condo with my son while my husband and I picked up groceries for our week long stay. When we returned, my in-laws informed us that all the ice in the icemaker had melted and was dripping water on the floor. They cleaned it up and emptied the icemaker. I checked the freezer and it was not cooling. I contacted Perla, the manager, who came over very shortly to investigate. We also had an issue with the oven not staying on. Perla said it was probably because we were the first to ever use the oven. After fiddling with it for a minute it started staying on. Perla's husband looked at the freezer, which he said was condensing and not cooling properly. He worked to unclog the fan on the back of the fridge and said that should help. Perla did say that of all the units, the one we were in was the only one to not have its refrigerator replaced yet. She offered to let us use the refrigerator next door and I was grateful for that so that all the food we had purchased would not go bad. We moved all our items into the fridge next door and continued on with our stay. The next day Perla came back to check the freezer. While it did seem to be colder, I was worried that we would come back from a day out and find the food spoiled because the fridge had given up (as Perla indicated that it probably did need replacing). She said it would be fine to use the fridge next door for the remainder of our stay. The next day, Perla brings dry ice and tells us that the unit next door has been rented for a few days. We move our items back into our unit fridge feeling better hoping that the dry ice will help the fridge along. This was the 2nd day of our stay. We decided to go out exploring that afternoon and when we got back it was very hot inside. The thermostat was reading 79 degrees, even though it was set to 74. We contacted Perla about this and waited to hear back. In the meantime, my in-laws took our son to the pool so they could all stay cool. Perla’s husband came to check the thermostat, pushed some buttons on the display, took a picture with his phone, and told me the display was set to “heat”. This is contradictory to what my father-in-law and my husband observed that it was on “cool” when we arrived back from our trip that afternoon. For one, I take medications that make it easy for me to overheat so I would never switch the thermostat to heat in the summer; and two, my in-laws are i

Just what the doctor ordered
If you are looking for a tranquil and homey setting this is for you. The condo is very comfortable and has all the comforts of home with a fully stocked kitchen. Looking forward to coming back in the summer. The one downside of traveling right after Christmas is that most shops and many restaurants were closed. All in all a wonderful vacation place we highly recommend!!
