“Hi, hope this helps, we found the cottage’s location is great having never been in a town one before. Great to have all the amenities to hand, we thought it had everything that one needs, just a little tired looking. Our main criticism was the lack of outdoor space for the dog, and as one of the cottage’s plus says it’s pet friendly, it is NOT. We would have considered the cottage again but only if we don’t have a dog, the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim.”

“Great location easily walkable to Ambleside town and the front. Parking can be an issue due to the tight lanes”

“We had an excellent stay with an amazing view of lake Windermere. Our two boys had good reviews of the apartment which is unusual. The apartment was very well kept and very comfortable ♥️”

“Overall we had a lovely time in Ambleside, the house itself was a bit grubby could do with a thorough clean, it said onsite parking on Expedia there is no parking it wasn’t a problem we parked in the village and paid £8 a day but shouldn’t be wrongly advertised, we tried to contact the property owners a couple of times about parking and the rubbish collection but still waiting for a reply, it is a lovely little house in a good location.”
