“The chateau is beatiful and the dinner was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at dinner. The food was sooo good and the staff made the night so fun. “We arrived at 8pm, having called in advance to advise of our arrival time. We had booked a table in the restaurant at 8.30pm (the final sitting according to the website). We were disappointed to hear the restaurant was shut when we arrived. We were offered no refreshments (our booking stated a welcome drink)- the village was very quiet with only a burger place open so we had very little choice to get something to eat. The hotel is in a lovely, peaceful setting just a few minutes walk from Jumierges Abbey (go early before the day visitors arrive!). The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. "We had a large room with queen-size bed, the bathroom was massive with a large hand basin but no shelves to put your toiletry bag, so I had to put it outside the bathroom. In my 40+ years of travelling around, it’s the first time a hotel doesn’t offer cups for rinsing teeth, or even for drinking. No hairdryer again, and I only realised after washing my hair after midnight. A room opposite us made squeaky noise every now and then, it was loud enough to wake us up early in the morning. Please lubricate all the doors🙏"
