About this property

Charming, secluded, characterful cottage in the heart of Lechlade

  • This cottage with its many original features, including beams, wooden floorboards and fireplace, has a log burning stove and is ideal for a cosy, romantic break or for those who love idyllic walks by the river.

It is a two-minute walk to the intriguing antique shops and pubs, restaurants and cafes. Visit the impressive church in the centre of Lechlade, which inspired Shelley or the ancient church in Inglesham (approximately one mile away) which features restoration by William Morris. In addition, several stunning honey-coloured stone villages and National Trust houses of note (for which the Cotswolds is so famous) are only a few minutes' drive away.

The cottage is located down a secluded path, just off a no-through road where there is free, safe parking.

Beneath the famous "Halfpenny Bridge" lies the Riverside Restaurant which is a great place to watch for water birds, have a relaxing drink or meal or hire a boat for a trip up the river.
